It's a lot of fun making franken-tanks.

Here's the 34mm PC tanks that replace a lite's 3 piece tank section

$4.06 Replacement Tank for Orchid V6 RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (5-Pack) 5-pack - PC (polycarbonate) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These require the short chimney top but shave 7mm off the total height of the tank:

$4.30 Replacement Acrylic Tank for Kayfun Lite Five Pawns RTA (5-Pack) 5-pack - translucent at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These look fun as heck. You can't built low resistance with the plastic chimney but being able to see your coil and wick without opening it up seems pretty cool. I'm not sure if the chimney size is the same as the regular kayfun. If it is then you can replace with a metal one. I have to wait a few weeks before mine arrive:

$1.50 Replacement PC Bell Cap Set for Kayfun Lite Five Pawns - w/ 510 drip tip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These are my fave top caps:

$2.36 Replacement Top Cap for Orchid V3 Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Great list, thanks. Just ordered 5 of the bases and 5 of the bell caps. Already had 8 of the Ehpro KFL+V2's stashed away. It's so hard to resist going back to FT and shopping for more KF goodies.

I ordered, too. Actually, I saved the list for the future. Sometimes, I search for stuff on FT that I know is on there, but I get 0 results. The links worked.

I appreciate the KFL+, but it is tighter for airflow. With Deeming and all, I got some parts and components.

I am just developing defenses for an uncertain future.

Thanks for the links.

Sorry I've been MIA, been busy with life!
Finally got time to build my TFV4 and use it a while. It's interesting.
I tried a 4mm mandrel but it was just too big so I went to a 2.5mm mandrel. I wound up a 1.4ohm coil and rolled up a 3/8" wide strip of cotton bacon then fluffed then ends out. I cut the wick about 1/4" wider than the body dia and put the chamber on. Then I shoved and stuffed the wick into the holes on the deck until I saw cotton sticking out of the juice channels. No leaking, flooding or dry hit through two tanks.
Now what I don't like, the screws/build deck. It's really hard to get the wire under the screws and be sure you have a good connection. I can easily not get the wire under the screws and not know it (28ga), and I can see the screws getting stripped. I'll try a dual coil build for the heck of it sometime, but I can't see this being easy with the little space you have and the way the juice holes are set up, but I'll try it.
It's also pretty thirsty.
What I do like, it's versatile! I can see a .5ohm build at 60-70 watts pretty easy and right now I'm running at 12watts with the AFC about 1/4 open and doing MTL easily! It really offers a lot of options in one unit. I've opened it up with this build at 40watts just to see and it was happy as could be.
Decent flavor, it's not a KFL, but almost as good as a Goblin mini, not a bad compromise.
So I can reccomend this for tootling, and it's fairly easy to build, you just have to be careful attaching the coil, but all in all, a decent vape.

Yeah, the stock KFL+V2 was just a bit air starved for my tastes. Not by a lot, but enough that I wanted a little more air. Even with the air screws removed, it was still too tight. I drilled the air tube out to 5/64 and it's perfect for me. Now the air screws can be adjusted to dial it in, just right. It made a world of difference, for me.

Phew! - just returned to the land of my peeps (T-Puffers and West Coasters). I've been away for a number of days, chillin' in the beautiful Thompson/Okanagan. Very pretty region of my province.
The drive there and back had me a little concerned about my tanks leaking as the elevation changes quite drastically. Thankfully I remembered reading (here) that the tanks could be stored upside down. It worked (insert applause here)!
Consider yourselves liked...zoiks!...lots to catch up on!

Cheers y'all

Oh, wise tootle puffers...

I'm thinking of getting into some kayfuns. I know diddly about them and am too overworked/tired/lazy to head into the kayfun threads.

I'm still a 1-3 ohm 6-12 watt kinda guy. I've found a nice price on Ehpro Kayfun 3.1. Anyone used them? Worth a squat?

Edit: they also have KF Lie Plus V2. What's the difference?

Any other recommendations from the KF clone family? I primarily prefer simple and dependable. Looks are a distant 3rd place.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Jay :headbang:

Jay, I think you have PLENTY of opinions and wisdom to your questions, but I'll jump in anyway. The KFL and L+ and V2+ (OMG, the names..... ) are all quite good. Yes, there are a multitude of little extras you can get for them, but as they are, they're quite the nice TPuff atty.

I'll add that the KF Mini v2 and v2 Plus are also stellar. The Tobeco and the SXK models shine a bit brighter. They ALL need a good wash or two to eliminate the taste/smell of machine oil, but they are easy to build and use. The minis are top fill. The others CAN be top filled with a little practice and a few videos. ;)

My preference, as I don't care to deal with the fill screws, or cause them needless wear.

just try walking out of any vape shop today with a juice that isn't 80% VG.

And this is why I shop with a vendor who seems to really GET ratios. I love love love a good 65/35 any day, and will NOT spend my money on a VG based vliquid. Coughcough.

(sorry, high VG lovers) :)

Bob, thank you for posting that list! I'm sure this will come in handy for a whole bunch of KF lovers.

Somehow, via that list, I got connected with some nano tanks for the KF. So, like any good vaper would do, I bought a bunch of them.

2 months and many tickets later, my fight with FT has finally ended. NONE of those nano tanks worked with any of my KF tanks. I will prolly PIF them at some point, but I'm hesitant as I have NO KLUE who can use them on WHAT!!

Thankfully, I don't see the SKUs on the list you posted. :)

I've been a Kayfun lover for a couple of years now. I have 3 KF4's and 3 KF3.1's, along with an assortment of other RBA's that I've tried over time.

My EHPro Squape came in yesterday and I built it this morning after letting the parts sit overnight in a Palmolive hot water bath. The machine oil aroma was barely detectable, but I always like to wash them up before building.

The Squape was a piece of cake to build. After seeing some of the clones with the green slime looking insulation on the deck I was a little dubious about buying one. The EHPro came in with a nice, shiny satin steel looking finish on the non-conductive deck. I was impressed. I wound up a compressed 28ga Kanthal 2.5mm coil and installed it on the posts. That was easy! I found the knurled screw posts really easy to snug down as I installed the coil, then I screwed the posts tight with a screwdriver. I installed a wick and put it back together.

I think I need to get the coil a little closer to the air hole and force the wick down into the juice channels. If I let it sit for a while, the next hit has a very slight gurgle/crackle to it. That goes away with the first hit, though. Once my initial half tank filling is gone I'll pull it apart and fix the wicking and coil height. Overall, it's a great tootle puffer tank. Flavor so far is about equal to a Kayfun.

$9.99 on clearance at Madvapes while they last. I might just order a couple more in defiance to the FDA. I'm accumulating more of the RBA's I like for backups to my backups.
I have never tried an EHPro SQuape or an Authentic. I have the SQuape Rs and a SQuape X Dream for which I am waiting on the Single coil deck. Running dual coils makes it quite the juice pig. :vapor:

The SQuape W deck is one the easiest decks to build on and wick. If you can find one that fit's, I highly recommend the B deck in regular or ceramic. Easier again to build and wick over the W deck and I find the flavor improved.

SQuape Rs with the Ceramic B deck.
4UD2VNil.jpg

Filling can sometimes be a chore on the SQuape depending on your juice ratio, I use 50/50 and it can take a while for the air bubble to clear. I detest those needle bottles and refuse to use a syringe to fill a tank. I let the juice flow down the threads between the tank wall and the chimney with the tank on a bit of a tilt.

The filling has been improved on the SQuape X Dream, really quite ingenious with it's lock/unlock tank function. Click the tank over to the locked position, unscrew the top and fill. Put the top back on and click over to unlocked and vape.

Enjoy the SQuape!
I find them a major improvement over the KFL series.

Thats cool I had no idea that they had a ceramic deck. In my head it says that is a good idea for some reason.

Do I have SKUs...... oh do I have SKUs! (almost memorized for the number of times I had to "remind" FT that they didn't work.) ;)

I shall PM them to you, dahlink, so as not to clog the thread.

Answered :)

Then again, maybe if it can be sorted out, or even if not, putting them here might keep others from a similar problem?

I use Kayfun Lite+ v2's exclusively. I've heard that the side fill ports on the 3.1's are a pita because it's so small. But if you bottom fill, a slim tip bottle will seat right at the fill hole for no muss filling. It's getting hard to find parts for the older than v4 KF's. The v5's are out now, & FT has an SXK 1:1 clone yhat is getting great reviews. I'll be getting a few of those, including plenty of parts as they become available..

I said I would do a quick review of the Wismec Reuleaux RX200S TC that I won in the Heaven Gifts giveaway http://www.heavengifts.com/WISMEC-Reuleaux-RX200S-TC-Express-Kit.html

Firstly thank you to heavens gifts for the comp/giveaway. They were one of the first vendors I dealt with and still a firm favourite on my list of vendors.

Ok. Even though I knew I did not need to marry the set of batteries I waited until I got new batteries before giving it a true test. It is a really attractive mod with lovely lines, a bright/clear easy to see screen and lovely tactile buttons. The device came with a really in depth manual which of course stays in the box until after I have a play. New covers are available to mix/match and change the look making it a versatile mod.

The menu is easy to work through, clear and bright (might be a bit bright for some). I have not tried the TC but by all accounts Wismec have got this right.

As a tootle puffer one of the biggest issues is whether such a powerful device can give you a smooth vape at lower watts and I am happy to say it fires perfectly between 8-10W, no chattering or weird pulsing.

The Reuleaux is quite a beast and with the three batteries loaded, weighs in at a whopping 316g. Even though it is really heavy it is strangely ergonomic and balanced in the hand and the buttons are easy to find and fire.

I know the perfect person for this device and it is much appreciated.

At a fellow tootler I can share that my three battery mod running at a hot 14W didn't need recharging until about day 6 with about 5 ml vaped a day, which is a lot for me usually 2 to 3 ml, but it was new and I couldn't help myself from constantly reaching for it.
