@Katdarling, I haven't had any shorting issues. I have some pretty good side-cutters that let me trim quite closely to the terminals.

My current build is 28g nichrome80. 3mm, can't remember if 8 or 9 wraps.

As long as I don't cram the Allen wrench in too hard, I don't have any trouble. I think my other build is 26g, but I don't remember. I know it's a bit less than an ohm tho'

Usually Flat-top, but I have some button-tops, if necessary. I also have a mix of flats and buttons for my 18500s and 18350s....

Nemmie tubes were cut for button top batteries. If you want to use flat tops it's best to get a FatDaddyVapes extended pin.

this is how mine is set up with button tops & a kick.

I don't remember 100% because I bought mine a couple of years back. I think it was an EhPro. I haven't had any problems kicking it with flat top batts. I've never owned a button top batt.

That's possible, not all of the clones were exact one-to one copies.
hcigar was the one that you could mix parts with an original, and never know the difference.

Thanks TJ! I'll give it a go with my button-tops. I was thinking I got one of them to kick without any major shenanigans.

I kick my authentic Nemi with flat tops with no trouble.

Yes the HCigar was probably the best clone of the Nemi there was I had a couple of them.

Just while we are talking about kicks. Madvapes has a doohickey called a force adapter. It is the same as my little kick modules that I made last year. They are on super sale but the best thing is that they have a full kick inside. This kick has an extra bit of insulation that needs to be trimmed off to work outside of the module and the actual kick is slightly smaller diameter.

    That's neat.

I put some together with parts from FT.

Well, the other day I was bored and had some time soooo...I decided to play around with my 28 gauge spool of kanthal.Ten turns around a 2.4 mm jig, came out a tad shy of 1.8 ohms.Installed on my kayfun lite clone,I tried 10 watts to start and found it a tad warm.Turned it down abit and find it works fairly well (for me) at ~8 to 8.5 watts.Hmmmmm I didn't have to double the wattage as I had assumed. :)

Now why didn't you post that earlier. I've gone from a Kabuki to a Merlin (love that tank) a Bellus, and now, thanks to some bad influences around here (not pointing fingers, just say'in) a Crius Plus and a Limitless+.

Fortunately, I can't do those all day without passing out, so it's only a once in a while if the mood hits me. The good news, it's been a lot better since mixing my own 3 mg juice for it than my usual 12 mg (boy was I sick hitting that up at first).:vapor:
Just keep them as a treat instead of a daily rotation... ;)

My Royal Hunter and a bottle of Charlie's Chalk Dust "Honey Badger" is kept as a treat for occasional vaping! :D

That's pretty much what I've been doing. I can't see them for all day use, but once or twicce a day it's fun to pop one on a mod and fog up the room.:)
