I've been searching online since 6.00 a.m. looking for Nauti tanks, reg and mini, for shops in our city that carry them. I have phone calls to make. One would think there would be vape shops in a city the size of Vancouver that would carry Nautis.

I'm not giving up!

Slip across the border to Bellingham? (Just don't get caught taking it back, the FuDA will declare you an exporter....)

My idea was to use the PT 2 silicone insulators gotten at Core Clones and insert in the two air holes. Reduces the diameter of the hole just fine. Easy enough to put in and take out........ I now have a sort of AFC. :p

I've heard that as well, Choo. And while I'm more of a scotch guy, I tossed a couple of the Wine's into my last FT order. May have to do the same, as stuffing one of the base intakes full of rayon didn't cut it down enough...

I rebuild Non nautilus BVC coils (as small as you can get) and the Nautilus RBA. Both v1 & V2 defeated me. It's the screws that make it difficult. The BVC coils even though they are small are rebuilt like a protank but this RBA has the microscopic screws that you need to get right. I gave up and just rebuild the actual nautilus coils. Much easier and more consistent.
Thank you for the insight, like I say I haven't had one in hand, next time I run across one I'll look more closely at the screws!

 Well, DavidOck, I did reduce all holes everywhere I could and I am an airy kind of MTL'er = Air Head! Just wanted to see if I could reduce the air intake. The only thing I haven't done is completely close off one of the air holes while the other is reduced with the insulator to see if I can reduce one step farther. Doesn't matter if I use it or not......just wanted to find out if it'll work. :D

Yeah, I have a hard time finding something I like more than my Kayfuns! (Couple dozen or so of those, but it's fun to play!)

I never did upgrade to the PT. Should I do it now or just not bother.

Yep. ;)

Actually depends, CF. On what you're using now, what you like. I still have a few PT, PT2, Davide, and T3S toppers and coils, but they don't see a lot of use atm. If you're using something you like better, no. If not, then the PT2 with the adjustable base is a good reliable topper, and the single bottom coils aren't hard to rebuild.

Gosh Mr. O, I'm uber nervous crissing the border when I have no purchases
However, I will be in Seattle/Bellevue for a few days next month. I could be tempted...

Back in the "OLD" days (like 21 days ago) I would have recommended putting it on the Classies.

Le sigh.

Maybe that's still a viable option?
What's going on with the Classies? Are they open or not? They look like they are. But, they're so dead!

Just curious what gage wire you are using. I've had no issues at all with mine so far, but I've only built it with either 26awg. Is it thinner wire that you are having issues with?

The wire I was using to build the 15 Ohm coil (yes... FIFTEEN) was 36 gauge nichrome 80. 36 gauge wire is like trying to build a coil with an eyelash almost.

And your magnifying glasses will need magnifying glasses to rebuild them. ;)

From ALL reports, truly, they seem to be more of a hassle than not. If anyone has done them successfully, please chime in?

Rebuild what?

And as far as tighter draw with good flavor. You might hate me for this... but believe it or not... the CERBERUS RDA has an awsome tight draw for being a tri-coil RDA. And if 26650 mods are your thing - or anything 26mm in diameter - then it might be up your alley.

LOVE the look of those set-ups! DP, looks to me like you have style :)

Awww, THANKS, JK! Don't let the mods fool ya though. ;)

What are the 2 mods on the left?

See below (Ding! Ding! Ding!) :D

Get that Dinger a ceeegar!

They are indeed XvoSticks. To stay that I would NOT recommend the clones is an understatement. There are a handful of people who are satisfied with them, but I believe the majority threw theirs against a wall. I know I almost did (yes, I had one).

Remember those car kits that made a VW Bug look like a Ferrari? They were a LOT better than the cloned Xvo's :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

I've recently been playing around with a Nebula Wine. Wine does not have AFC and apparently has some "turbulence" that is bothersome. Someone found if before you build the coil drop in the air shaft below where the coil would hang, a PT 2 insulator which flange has been cut off. Worked to cut the turbulence and some of the airiness. Another used a bamboo skewer to stop up one of the two air holes. Worked for him to lessen the airiness too.

A little too "much" for you, CCG? I've heard that from other too. I kind of like the OOOOPMH! I get from them. Not FULL TIME, but it's nice when I reach for 'em. :)

Welp, you know the OLD (21 day old) adage....... sell NOTHING! :D

Idunno, Kat. I wandered through the classies the other night, and could swear I heard the theme music from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

You know that one, ya? [emoji6]

Hey DP, actually, I have a Nauti Mini which I love. Are you referring to the "regular" size Nautilus?

I too am strictly a MTL-er "all the way". I contemplated getting a 2nd Nauti Mini...I'm trying to bump up my collection a bit at a time. My local shop doesn't have 'em in stock :(

I'd settled on the Triton Mini (they don't carry them either...sheesh!)because I'd read they are a good MTL tank, plus, the coils fit the Nauti Mini (yay!).

I'd give the regular size Nauti a shot fir sure...I trust your recommendation :)

Agree with the Mr.'s review, JK. They are the same tank, same coil, same everything, other than capacitators. If you like a larger tank, then I do hope your visit to WA provides you with some!

I haven't seen one in the wild yet, so I can't say, but I can't see how they'd be more fiddly than rebuilding the factory coils and I've done that numerous times for friends. I was just letting them know that option is out there.

You can find one in my vape stand too. I took one look and put it away. Nothing wrong with it, but it's NOT for me.

I think MINE is in your vape stand, too, no? ;)

Actually mine is so far back in the cabinet, we're kind of hoping it slips thru the wall to the other side. sawlight, if you CAN rebuild this thing (with ease, grace, and a lack of profanity), I'll be in awe!!

Knowing Krisma Moddress gave up on it was enuf for me to say, UH UH.

What are the 2 mods on the left?

Just like the '80s

I believes they are XVo Sticks?

XvoStick - Mini ECIG - this is an authentic, but I believe lesser-expensive clones can be had?

$41.36 XvoStick Styled 40W TC VW Variable Wattage APV Box Mod - 1-40W / 200-600'F / 1*18650 / aluminum at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

They are indeed the Mini E-cig varietals. The klownsticks were just not all that and a bag o' chips. Too many probs and issues reported, but yes, a whole lot cheaper, and a WHOLE LOT more available. :(

Wow, I LIKE the bit of turbulence! It often matches my mood.

I must be the only one that's had good luck with the VVTF V2 micro-deck.

Ease?....Nope. It will tax your patience, for sure.
Grace?... I'm 6 ft 240#, grace was never in my vocabulary.
Lack of profanity?... Aww c'mon, you can't take all the fun out of it. I grew up being Dad's helper & flashlight holder. I thought profanity was in the instructions. A few may have slipped out. ;-)

In all honesty, it's a pain, yes. Personally, I don't mind the effort, if the results are worth it. It's right there, with the BVC coils, in flavor & performance, in my book. I haven't used a BVC coil since I got the VVTF deck. They worked well enough for me, that I ordered 2 more and 2 more Naut Minis to go with them.

Look on the bright side, after doing a couple of the VVTF V2s, building in a STM RBA will be like building on an RBA the size of my old Buick's trunk.

I do believe that is the first post I've seen from someone who likes (or has at least had good luck with) the VVTF decks. Perhaps I'll buy 1 after all and give it a try. After I buy one of the headband magnifying thingamajiggies.
