I did a quick little youtube on the actual rebuildingapologies for the fumbling. this is using prewicked coils from fasttech that i remove the silica wick and redo with rayon. I prefer the NR-R-NR coils as they do not heat the insulator and give off any fumes.

and a pictorial of how it comes apart. I use mesh and rayon but i guess most people would use cotton for the wick and the case surround.

You rock! :D

It's let's cut krisma's internet speed in half just to make things interesting. :p

Krisma, maybe something to try for the 'surround' on the coils is stainless steel mesh
a small strip goes a long way and seems simpler to manipulate...

I do use mesh. With high pg I use 400g but if you are using higher VG I would suggest 250g
The mesh becomes the eliquid flow control to the wicks. And you can see in the pictorial that the strip is only tiny.

 I only started rewicking them because I can't abide the taste of cotton and aspire changed the wicking material. Finding rayon and using the mesh surround is what solved it for me. All credit goes to the guys in the eleaf thread who showed how to get them apart and a YouTube video I found of a guy using mesh on the nautilus coil heads. Together they work and I won't buy another coil again. Lucky I kept the gazillion old ones :p

I said a little prayer for all of our friends on the East Coasts of the US. We had someone in the community in Louisiana last week loose their home. That was enough I hope everyone else stays safe and sound.

I really don't "like" this. Praying safety and comfort to all in the "path"....

I have a bunch of Kangers and Cerotanks I started with, never tried rebuilding them

I like the idea of the CLR Tanks as-well with factory rebuildable coils.. Iv been using my old Tootle gear lately more than usual and would hate to see it go to waste with the FDA getting in the way.. :)

I still have a couple CartoTanks and Kanger T3S's (that I started with) in my "Active Rotation"...

But...the CLR (1.0Ω) coils give me a noticeably different Tootle Puffer experience...

Even right out of the blister pack (ie. no rebuilding, yet)...I notice "brighter" flavor and a "denser" vapor...

[Besides...at $10.95 for the eGo ONE and $9.95 for a 5-pack of CLR's...you're not really risking a lot of $'s to try 'em...]

Joyetech eGo ONE Mega V2 Tank

Joyetech CLR Coils (5 pack)

Hermine is a wimp, the 2004 crap was a Bit*h, with Charlie, then Francis, then Jean, all in a few weeks. All this is (unless there is a tornado) is a little wind and rain, normal afternoon thunderstorms can be worse. I don't get excited about tropical storms, just another day in Florida. I am in the center of the state, so don't get as much effect as on the coast, which is one of the reasons I don't live on the coast. :)

A justfog coil looks kinda like this. You've given me a thought...To use some SS mesh for the surround instead of the outer compressed layer of a japanese cotton square that I have been using for my justfog recoils....Hmmmmmmm it may work. Thanks Krisma!
