If the band on the bottom is blue, you have the Ni coils. You can ONLY use those on a temp control device. If you do not have one, PLEASE do not use the tank until you get GS air coils that are not temp control.

If they are 1.2 ohm then they're not Ni200. If they read .12 ohm then maybe.

Thank you both so much! I have decided to hold the tank in reserve until I get a tc battery/mod. This has been an expensive month, so I won't be doing that probably for at least two months or more.

The photos of the coils is extremely helpful. Thank you again so much. :) I don't know what I'd do if it weren't for my beloved fellow tootle puffers. :) (yes, I'm an old girl, lol).

@Uncle it took me a bit to understand it myself, like I said when I first tried it on my Pico I left it at 75w and adjusted the temp, it was warm but vapable. When I got my Istick 200w I tried it at 200w, way too hot and constantly in protection mode. I did some reading and learning and it finally clicked how the wattage was the ramp up to get to the temperature.
With my KF's and Squapes I still sometimes like to take a primer puff then a long draw. 15w for the ramp up is pretty nice for that, but a lot of times I'm still at 30w.
Like I said, try it as a baseline and tweak it, there really is no correlation to any of it with TC, it all to personall taste.

yepper, all the coils look the same, what do you read on the side of said coils ??

the iStick 30 will only read/fire down to .5Ω ~ and NO TEMP CONTROL coils

try another coil that reads above .5Ω on the side of the coil

;) :)
I can't read the stamp on the coil, but yes, it has that blue band. The tank came with two coils, one of them is lost somewhere and the other is in the tank.

I guess if I want to use this tank without tc i can put a 1.2 coil into the tank? Sorry, I'm a little on the slow side. [emoji33]

hey NO PROBLEM (we all be a learning) ;)

but YES that is what's wrong

if you have a blue "o-ring" that means your coil is Ni and Won't work on the iStick 30w

order some standard (1.2Ω-1.5Ω-.75Ω) coils and you be good to go... :D :D

eta: here's a couple links to the coils that will work for you...

- Eleaf GS Air 2 Coils Organic Cotton - Eleaf Coils - Eleaf - Tanks & Coils

what you mean OLDER GS ???????????????

those will work in your tank, on your istick30

I meant the original GS Air tanks, before they came out with the newer tc tanks, and the finger adjustable air flow ones other than the older ones with the tiny screwdrivers. I don't know how else to explain what I meant. [emoji173]

well I say those will work, if they screw into the base and the base will screw tight into the tank - ROLL WITH IT !

here's thread ya might wanna read...
Eleaf GS Air Fan : Part 2
OK, thanks again! I will try one of my 1.2 coils in it, later on after I finish the in-use juice in my older GS Air tank. Everything is much clearer to me now. :)

Happy Laborious Day, TPuffs. Who is responsible for the day? You get to pick one of the Maguire / McGuire "brothers"...

Puff2K, glad you got your coils/GS Air tank straightened out!

Uncs, you're too funny. TWO and ONE HALF hours to post?

Love me some spreadsheet on a Monday morning....... ;)

Wow! Very simple. I don't have any particular intention of trying TC. But, now I know that I have a good basic idea if I ever decide to. Very simply written.

You'ld never seen 'Day of the Triffids'?! Where have you been?

Hiding under a Google Doc Roc.

I need to pull it out again, haven't used it since I moved so maybe I forgot something about it...

And this is why I adore ECF...
