Uh, no. :)

For long term storage, it's best for lithiums to NOT be fully charged. Or discharged.

But for peace of mind, maybe unbox them every few months, charge, use a bit to verify function and run the battery down a bit, the back in the box.

Do you recommend that for a newbie?
I'm not sure what tank @petrotech has in his setup, but it is nice. I have the Tesla Stealth, not the mini, and found it a little cumbersome. The fire button is on top, very close to the drip tip. Finding the right setup is a chore given all the choices available. This type of mod limits you in the size of the tank (diameter) you can use on it. It is a very nice setup for a quick few puffs on the sly, but you will find that most of us have several mods/tanks combos. There are the big, box mods, the pen style, the mini mods.... the big capacity tanks, the mini tanks and everything in between. The Skillet is a good start at a very good price, the Pico is a nice small mod also tho it limits the tank diameter also but there is a work around for that.

So now I'll ask for suggestions on devices with replaceable batteries that won't break the bank.
I really should've bought more of those $20 pro varis!
Now ya opened a door!!!
I have an cool fire 4 18650, 2- SVD2's, 2- Sigeli mini's , & 1 Spire by beyond vape.
All in storage.

ETA. Most are hard to find since I bought them on clearance. Except for the first one.

Tube or box? Max power desired? TC capable? Single or multiple battery?

For tootling, 30 watt max is fine. But higher power may be desirable should you ever want to go there. Same with having TC, in both cases, better to have and not need than need and not have ;)

Multiple battery.... not really needed unless you want to go really high power.

Don't need high power. I like tube shape the best. Don't need tc either

Those are my battery suppliers of choice, in that order...

Brands and models?

For regulated devices, I choose Samsung 30Q, LG HG2

If I need to have a little more wattage, I switch to LG HE4 or Samsung 25R. There's also a Panasonic, but I can never remember the model #. For really high amperages, I choose LG HB2, 4, or 6. Sony VTC 3, 4, and 5a are also pretty good.

Note that the three suppliers are very good, but not foolproof... counterfeit batteries can sometimes sneak through. That said, they are good with support, and FAR better than trusting any supplier on Amazon or eBay.

Search for Mooch's blogs and tests... He tests batteries and provides very accurate ratings for them...

Here's one possibility:

iTaste SVD 2.0, Black | Vaping Mall

Haven't dealt with them, but the SVD2 is a solid device - and a heavy device :) But a good reliable workhorse. (I have two :) ) aT $20, a good deal if it works for your vaping style.

Now that I am on a computer, I will write more information on what I'd like! :)As you all probably know, 90% of my vaping time is spent on an ego aio or my subvod c. The remaining 10% is split up into using a spinner (4%), the hohm skillet (5%) and the Smok M80+ (1%). So I think it's best for me to stay on the tube style devices. I LOVE the ego aio, but am not impressed with its battery life. I am a little spoiled after getting a provari for only $20, so I'd appreciate suggestions for devices with removable batteries that cost less than $40. I don't need anything high end. I also don't care what color it is. Pink is always nice, but I wouldn't care if I was tootling on a puke green device. Just as long as it works well for me

:offtopic:As an aside, last night I started getting dizzy off of my 18 mg nic, so I think it's time to go down to 12-16mgs. Unfortunately, I have made enough 18 mg juice to last a year. I was thinking of just making non-nic versions of all the juice I have and adding it to the 18 mg to lower it (or should I make lower versions due to differing steep times?), but I am not exactly sure how much to add to lessen the nic amount. I'd greatly appreciate suggestions.

As always, thanks very much for your help, I just love my new vaping family!:)

I really like my SVD 2... super reliable DNA chip, decent form factor. And, in a pinch, it's large enough to be usable for self defense.

Question for all of you that are stocking up on devices: do you charge the ones you're not using every so often?

My internal battery mods are on a rotation. They get 1 weeks use every 4 weeks and are kept at between 3.6-3.8 volts for storage.

my stockpile mods are tested for 3 full battery cycles before being cleaned and put away for later use. I keep 18650's rotating as well.

Never knew Evolv ever made a DNA 20. Looks like a nice tube mod for the price.

You still have protanks, right? Keep the 18 mg for those, and mix a new batch for the other devices.

Or, you can remix those down by adding a little PG or VG and some additional flavor.

That's easy to deal with. Make up some 0 mg juice with the same flavors and VG/PG ratios. Use it to dilute down the 18 mg to 12 mg.
