How long or how many devices did it take for the itch to subside?[emoji4]

Well ChelsB, I'm done now, really! I'm a Provape gal, now that I have multiples of all Provaris, I'm good. Should add that I started with an Ego AIO, quickly bought a pegasus and pegasus mini, just recently I bought that shiny, tiny that Shawn showed us! And I bought a Pico, just cause every tootle puffer should have at least one. There will be no shopping for me. I'm good.

Question: how long will a semi-used coil last? What I mean is, I want to change flavors, but the coil is still good. I'm storing it like this

ChelsB, one way to save a coil is to clean and flush the tank and coil together with Vodka. You might get a few hits of the old flavor, but I have not. Make sure to let the vodka evaporate or dry the tank before vaping.

Say you are really desperate (I'm not, but hypothetically speaking) and your device no longer holds a charge. Could you still use it with it plugged in? Would it be safe?
Lesson: get down in close AND READ whats on the wall adapter and see WHAT the OUTPUT is... :D:D (red dots)

When I bought my first mod from a b&m, they warned me to never use my Apple chargers. So I don't.

My first winter in Canada was 1977 in London.
I arrived at Great Lakes Naval just prior to the first (of many) snows that winter and have vivid memories of the -50+ wind chill temps. Maybe that explains why, having never lived there before, I moved to Texas after getting out of the Navy.

Thanks for mentioning that. I think I saw the same suggestion way back but forgot to do it.

Do you think it would be a good idea to rub a bit of VG on the rings? I picked up a PT mini once, one of the rings had stuck to the end of the glass so firmly that I couldn't get it off without damaging it.
Lol. Yes I mentioned this somewhere on this forum a few months ago.

Dont know about VG on the rings. Maybe someone else could answer that. I'd like to know too.

That's been pretty much my path too except for the pegasus.

Ummm Yes, But Not really, This has NO BATTERY. :)
$3.97 Variable Voltage USB Passthrough for E-Cigarette at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping (I have a couple, just in case :D)

Have you tried them? I've considered buying one, but they don't list how many watts it can put out.

You are not going to get very much out of a computer USB port with that thing. They recommend a 2A wall wart to power it.
CE5 with a 2.4Ω coil maybe?

No Idea on the power output. When I got them I was using 2Ω+ carto tanks, and they worked fine off my computer USB. I am sure they would not work for anything but Tootle Puffing. :)

How long did it take you all before you started wrapping really great coils?

Mine aren't always pretty but they work.It took a bit before they worked all the time. Now a days using 28 gauge kanthal 9 wraps around a 2.4mm screwdriver shaft for ~1.6 ohms.Long slow puffs on my Kayfun pluses and Serpent mini @8 watts.

SorryNoMore has a great link. I often will do that on tanks - I have a couple of KFV3/V5 that can be hard to re-assemble - especially after a good cleaning. I put a drop or two on the o-rings and it allows the components to screw back together much more easily.

CE5 with a 2.4Ω coil maybe?

Not to mention a real possibility of permanent damage to the PC USB port

The Wife and I had a very good whirlwind weekend. After the surgery and trips and home health and the kids and the jobs and the contractors, well, we've not a had a moment to ourselves in months...

We were scheduled to meet dome folks in Nashville, TN Saturday at noon to pick up our new breeding ram.

Friday was a pretty normal day, except we took off work a touch early and came home to pack for the trip. We had discussed trying to make the trip in a day... 16 hours round trip... we knew it was doable, but would be miserable. We decided to leave Friday evening and drive until we felt like stopping.

On the way, The Wife like to play navigator, and she has taken to searching for items of interest along our route... taken to... we never used to have the time to do things like that, and I really enjoy taking the time to do it. Of course, she allows me to stop at vape shops on the way, too.

The first stop - outside of dinner - was at an art installation in Brownsville, TN called The Mindfield.

I could go on and on, but it'd likely be better if you looked it up, yourselves...

Brownsville, TN - Billy Tripp's Mindfield

We got into Nashville about 2 am and stayed in a Knight's Inn undergoing remodeling. Kinda nice, but I could still detect some age in her bones. I ain't saying what we did in the motel. :)

We slept in just a bit and grabbed yogurt from the breakfast bar. We then checked out, loaded up and headed to the Parthenon.

Awesome!

The park around the Parthenon is pretty impressive, too... we found this to be of interest, considering the day...

The lighting is bad... overcast day... it's a monument depicting the women's suffrage march in Tennessee...

We met with the transport where and when we were supposed to, and took posession of our new breeding ram. Meet Cowboy...

9b43996f6190901b5a3b8673152d3f34.jpg

The drive home was rather grueling. The Wife and I like to get out and stretch and offer water to our passenger every 2 hours... guess who managed to find a vape shop just off the interstate every 2 hours?

We got home at about 8:30 pm, and got Cowboy tucked into his new abode... then we collapsed...

Sad thing is, I visited around 8 vape shops on the trip and couldn't find the one item I wanted...

This morning, I'm placing an order...

Looks like a nice trip.

You can't find anything a B&m's. Is that because you have it already or they just don't sell it.

A bit of both, actually. I was kinda on a mission to find a specific kit, this weekend, and that's what I'm ordering... I did find two items I was interested in, but not the item I was looking for. However, I have most everything most shops carry, and I do not duplicate, so...

The two items I might have fallen for are any of the Vaporesso mods with the Omni Board, or the Praxis Banshee. I saw a Vaporesso Nebula and the Banshee, but they were a bit outside of what I was comfortable spending... However, there was only ONE shop out of the many I visited that even had those... I did see a lot of TFV8 and Aliens and Baby Beasts and Big Baby Beasts and Reuleaux of various stripe, but I already have all of those. Another disturbing trend is a serious dearth of rebuildable atomizers. The shops almost universally told me that since the FDA stopped shops from building coils, they haven't been able to sell any of 'em. Disturbing because I fear that the FDA will come around to state that breaking apart any package - that is to sell a single coil out of a pack of 5 - is modification of a packaged product and therefore forbidden. I know a lot of vapers that prefer to buy their coils one and two at a time and cannot afford a 5 pack in a B&M. Our dear Arkansas state government has made it verboten to ship vape gear to the state, so my fellow Arkansans are limited to buying from shops. Even IF the manufacturers begin selling coils by the one pack, I fear that the increased packaging cost will still pose a problem...
