Just out of curiosity, what were you looking for? Most places I go to carry the trendy, low to mid price range so most times I have to order on line.
I spent a lot of time around Nashville.I ain't even gonna try to catch up... catsup? Ketchup?

The Wife and I had a very good whirlwind weekend. After the surgery and trips and home health and the kids and the jobs and the contractors, well, we've not a had a moment to ourselves in months...
We were scheduled to meet dome folks in Nashville, TN Saturday at noon to pick up our new breeding ram.
Friday was a pretty normal day, except we took off work a touch early and came home to pack for the trip. We had discussed trying to make the trip in a day... 16 hours round trip... we knew it was doable, but would be miserable. We decided to leave Friday evening and drive until we felt like stopping.
On the way, The Wife like to play navigator, and she has taken to searching for items of interest along our route... taken to... we never used to have the time to do things like that, and I really enjoy taking the time to do it. Of course, she allows me to stop at vape shops on the way, too.
The first stop - outside of dinner - was at an art installation in Brownsville, TN called The Mindfield.

I could go on and on, but it'd likely be better if you looked it up, yourselves...

We got into Nashville about 2 am and stayed in a Knight's Inn undergoing remodeling. Kinda nice, but I could still detect some age in her bones. I ain't saying what we did in the motel.
We slept in just a bit and grabbed yogurt from the breakfast bar. We then checked out, loaded up and headed to the Parthenon.
Awesome!

The park around the Parthenon is pretty impressive, too... we found this to be of interest, considering the day...

The lighting is bad... overcast day... it's a monument depicting the women's suffrage march in Tennessee...
We met with the transport where and when we were supposed to, and took posession of our new breeding ram. Meet Cowboy...

The drive home was rather grueling. The Wife and I like to get out and stretch and offer water to our passenger every 2 hours... guess who managed to find a vape shop just off the interstate every 2 hours?
We got home at about 8:30 pm, and got Cowboy tucked into his new abode... then we collapsed...
Sad thing is, I visited around 8 vape shops on the trip and couldn't find the one item I wanted...
This morning, I'm placing an order...

There is over 20 vape shops in my town, but don't buy hardware from them, as they mark the prices up so much, yes understand costs more to run a B&M store, but not by how much they mark up though.
Guy at work last week bought the old Fuchai 213 and ijoy tank, cost him $197
That is way over the top as far as I'm concerned, could get that setup for well under $100 online.
The whole prohibition against online shopping in Arkansas has forced the issue a bit...There is over 20 vape shops in my town, but don't buy hardware from them, as they mark the prices up so much, yes understand costs more to run a B&M store, but not by how much they mark up though.

I'm trying to round out my mech collection with the Ijoy Limitless RDTA mod...Just out of curiosity, what were you looking for? Most places I go to carry the trendy, low to mid price range so most times I have to order on line.
The whole prohibition against online shopping in Arkansas has forced the issue a bit...
However, I want to explain a bit more about the markup issue...
The US wholesaler gets items in large quantities from China... let's say they buy 1000 Whamdinger 300s for $25 each. They sell it to retailers at a markup... say the retailer gets is for $50. The retailer has to price it at $100 to cover overhead and operations. THEN, the wholesaler markets it online at $60, undercutting the retailer. Ouch! In order to compete, a retailer would have to purchase at the same quantities from China, but a smaller market would NEVER move 1000 units...
Generally speaking, a B&M should never be looked at as a retailer in the same light a grocery store should be looked at. Rather, they should be considered as a customer service kind of place that happens to sell the products. Online, outside of reviews, there is no one to patiently walk the shopper through the menu, explain how to prime and replace coils, etc. Also, if the device fails in a week, shipping it back can be a real PITA if it's even possible.
That said, the B&M you referred to just raked your friend over the coals! Did he at least get some batteries and coils?
Lessee... reasonable retail for the 213 at this point... likely around $75. A set of quality batteries around $30. The Limitless XL should run no more than $50... $155 would have been my top dollar. That assumes the original 213 and not the Fuchai... the price would have dropped to about $125 for the kit with the Fuchai 213.I believe he did get batteries with it, but only coils that came with the tank.

That would take too long.I ain't even gonna try to catch up... catsup?
I've never seen it. Didnt know about it until just now. Wish I did when I lived in KY. Would have been a good short trip. It sure looks awesome. I have visited the real one several times when I lived in Greece. We slept in just a bit and grabbed yogurt from the breakfast bar. We then checked out, loaded up and headed to the Parthenon. Awesome!
Very handsome! What kind of sheep is He? How many lady friends will Cowboy be having fun with?We met with the transport where and when we were supposed to, and took posession of our new breeding ram. Meet Cowboy..

He is a Jacob Sheep... a rare, ancient breed. He has a harem of about 25. Gonna be busy next year...That would take too long.

Glad there are folks like you who help preserve heirloom breeds. I do that gardening-wise.He is a Jacob Sheep... a rare, ancient breed. He has a harem of about 25. Gonna be busy next year...

Yup... I've seen a lot of B&Ms taking a loss because they bought the latest and greatest in quantity and were unable to move them when the latest and greatest V2 came out...Then factor in multiple countries. You buy direct fro the manufacturer. Buy straight from china. I would like to point out the Whamdinger has already been superseded by the 400 and the 500 will be released next month. Then all the places have obsolete inventory on clearance.
Keep your fingers crossed. We're under tornado watch and severe storm warning until 8pm. They're saying up to 60mph winds and I live in a freaking forest!!!
Expecting power outages but all my batts are charged.
It's scary.
I should also mention that I LIKE shopping B&Ms. As a local business (broom making), I see value in supporting local businesses...
