I think that's a little paranoid... you have a much better chance of getting trampled by a cow than having a battery vent in a regulated mod, tootling away at sub-20W. Even if the battery is pointing up and the vent holes of the mod are at the bottom, they're gases... they will go out the vent holes in the bottom.
Not quite. Vent holes need to be at tge positive end. If the tube id tight around the battery gasses will have a hard problem getting out vent holes.

Pico id about the ONLY mod that puts tge venty holes where they belong.

Is a battery likely to vent in a regulated mod is not likely but i feel bettee with vent holes in the right place just in case.

Batteries swell before they vent so there is a good chance the gasses will not make it to the holes...

I don't think anyone can be too paranoid when it comes to Li-ion batteries, regulated mods give people a serious false sense of security.

It would be interesting to find out how many people here charge their batteries unattended or even overnight.

Pico also points the positive end away...

Which is more comfortable in YOUR hand?
And do you want anything other than pink? ;)
Both comfortable in hand, color not too important. Thanks again everybody.

Pico got more votes and it's easier to get the battery in and out so just ordered my second one. I was going with FT but I've heard horror stories of orders getting lost with their holidays so ordered it from VapeNW, the mod is the same price as FT but have to pay $3 S&H - it's worth it for no headaches

I've certainly been guilty of charging overnight but am much more careful now

You know I thought nothing of charging them overnight and/or unattended before I joined ECF. Now I know better and dont do either anymore.

I just dont understand taking a chance once you know the danger. No, it's not likely to happen but why not do the safest thing in case your battery happens to be the one that vents.

I just checked my Vika... center pin is not budging when I tried using my fingernails to move it. I think you need a new Vika.
I think you're right and I had something of a dud as the pin dropped out more or less every time I filled it. This time though I'd taken the tank off the battery so I could use a different one and I forgot to be careful. I can't remember exactly where I did it - and I vacuumed yesterday .........
