Sensible battery management is the key. Understanding your batteries limits and using them accordingly is something we all should do. Its not scaremongering to point out potential issues and its blase to discount anything can happen. Phones, Tablets so many devices use internal batteries and we trust the manufacturers to at least care a little bit about the safety of its consumers..... Look how that turned out for Samsung.

Does that mean we stop using devices with internal batteries..... No it just means you make a decision based on your understanding of the risks. Buyer and user take that responsibility.

I provided a link in a previous post for AW batteries, they are the only place I buy AW cells. Use the AW button top in your provari.
Everything else Ive seen you mention ( removable battery devices ) use flat top.

IMO, Removable battery type are the way to go. When the battery dies in an internal/non removable you toss it in the recycle bin.

No do not remove the button.
It should be soldered, then shrink wrapped with clear.
Many less than reputable folks just sit them on top & hope the shrink wrap holds the button in place.

You ordered flat-top 18350 batteries for the Zmax, right? That's what it takes.

And, the Provari 2.5 does need button top batteries.

If the button was centered when you got it and now it slid over, it's not welded. If you can slide it around, you can take it off

This is why I cautioned you in this same thread a few days ago.

If you don't slow down buying all sorts of stuff you will end up with boxes of stuff you'll never use or is mismatched/incompatable or flat useless or a big pile of stuff you don't like.

---> AW Batteries
if you have a provari mini use the AW 18350 800mah.
standard size provari or mini with extension cap use the AW 18490 1200mah.
standard size with extension cap use the AW 18650 2200mah.
All the above button top.
The 3000mah AW only comes in flat top.

Chels, I'm sure you ordered the correct 18350 batteries. Here's the info I found for you:

You said you ordered exactly that, so that's one less thing to worry about.

Wrong, she has a Provari 2.5 which only uses button top.

The P3 can use either, the Prcyon & Radius use flat top.
