Happy birthday Bea-fl!!!

My protank will always have a place in my arsenal.
1.5% menthol in them is a must.
I love me some menthol too. Especially if I am having a strong craving, those are what I used to smoke and it always satisfies a craving, which are very few and far between

Sent from my iPhone, please excuse any typos
What brand menthol are you guys mixing with? Might try some next time I order.

@ChelsB , what @pokemom said about squonking is very true, in most cases you have to build your coils according to Ohm's law. The KangerTech Dripbox2 is a TC squonker with the added advantage that it can be used as a single battery mod (if need be) and the benefit that it is a regulated entry level squok mod. It can be had for less than $40 with the crappy rda ( it's a cloudz bro type rda) but a Origen 16mm rda is $10. I didn't think much about squonking until I gave it a try....3 weeks ago. Now I have 4 mods I use, 3 on order and one I'm working on.
What about a Pico Squeeze? Cheap, not too hard to build on. I've just got into TC squonking. That's a whole nother ball game to just regular squonking.

The Pico squeeze is more of a "protected" mech mod than anything else. I'm no expert but the Dripboxes (v2 and the 160w) are regulated, TC mods where you can set watts and temp, the Pico has a working range to 100w, depending on the resistance of your coil(s) so you really have to pay attention to your build's resistance and the battery used since there is no other way to set wattage. Pico does have some buid in safeguards for low resistance and such so I tend to think of it as a bridge between mech squonks and regulated squonks. They are great, inexpensive starters but a person new to vaping and squonking especially would probably be better served to spend the extra $15 or so for a Dripbox 2. Them again, this is my personal opinion.

I learned on a REO so for me experience was the best teacher. My mentor told me that learning and building to Ohm's Law was the way to go so that's what I did. I've only had 1 almost mishap and that was on a Coppervape using a Wanko atty that had a bottom feed pin. When I first built the coil it was fine. Came home from work, hit it and noticed that everything was hot. Mod, atty and battery. I immediately took the battery out and checked the ohms. They were too low for the Coppervape. I was happy that I had had a great teacher.

I've got an app :) i discovered that I like a heat flux of around .25 w/mm^2 (or 250 mw/mm^2, if you prefer a life without decimals). I input my wire materials, the coil diameter, and run the sweet spot calculator to get # of wraps... works well for my mechs and unregulated mods as long as I also keep an eye on the amps, and use appropriate batteries.

The same calculator can also tell you what wattage will be needed to achieve the desired temperature...

I have a couple of Ego one's v1. I could never get them to not leak, even with the CLR coils. I've learned that, with Joyetech tanks, you have to screw the coils in real tight. With Kanger tanks it's the opposite: too tight and leaking happens. The Joyetech stuff doesn't seem to work right for me so I just stay away from them  Their mods are allright though...

I totally forgot about the squeeze. Same theory as the dripbox, no?
