I don't think so - I actually go a bit long. I've tried it a number of ways, but the results are often the same.

Then it will run perfectly for the 3-4 day life of the wick, sometimes after having the issue.

I think it's possessed. ;)

Ah, perhaps...

After trimming the wick I put the chamber on, then do any rearranging with a toothpick. I then drip some unflavored (at my preferred nic and %) on the coil and wick (since, when I rebuild I'm not always sure what flavor will be next in that tank. If I've made that decision I use that mix), put on the chimney and put one drop of juice on the end of it, to lube the o-ring, then finish assembly. Can't say I've ever run into your problem.

And likely wrong, but you aren't taking the whole chamber off to do the repairs, are you? Just the chimney piece should be sufficient. Yeah, pulling the whole chamber will automatically rearrange the whole thing!

I'm coming in the middle or on the end

I often have one side lift from the Juice channel as i PULL the DECK (deck the halls) out of my Kayfun.

I have 0 problem vaping. Heck i can chsine vape 70% VG Juice.

I think i am not pulling the deck straight up and the wick is catching the threads on the inside of the barrel

Sure i will get in trouble some how.

Nah - you're on target. I think it may be slightly lifting up, then I pull it UP when I take it apart. Just a guess...

I'm often referred to as a bull in a china shop (since I was knee-high to a grasshopper). Care to guess which path I usually take, based on that?

Krisma...I'm sure (like most people) that you have 28 hours of things to do when you wake up each morning...

But...should you remember...I'd be quite interested in your thoughts on the Tarot Nano (when they arrive)...:headbang:

Thanx...

..

He has been using them for a week and he thinks they are wonderful. Only in wattage mode and on high ohm boge cartos

They were bought as shed mods and replacements for the wismec presa's but they are too nice to use in the shed. LOL He is using 2 at a time and charging the third.

His criteria for a good mod.
Immediate button fire - Check
Clicky/nice button - Check
Must be stable standing up - rock solid
Battery lasts - check (he charges one a day)
10 sec fire - check
Even power delivery - check
Must be able to fire cartos (not all spring loaded devices can) - check
Must be a looker and fit in a pocket - check
Fast charge - brilliant but not necessary with 3 of them alternating

From my perspective. I got them at a reasonable price (sale) so I thought they were value for money. I think they are a bit expensive just at the mome, However he doesn't like a lot of mods so I would have paid full price. The true test is what is in his hand the most. Between the radius and these its about 50/50.

Congrats. Hope you are very happy with purchase.
OK, so far, being this is my first KFL-ish thing, I'm just fiddling with the pieces... holy tiny screws, Batman! You can really catch a 28ga wire under these things?

After trying on 2 different complete assemblies, I am definitely experiencing thread binding on the outer bellcap threads when I try to screw it down. With the chimney barrel screwed snugly into the bell cap, then screwing assembly onto base, the bottom of the chimney barrel starts threading to the base first and then as soon as the bell cap threads meet the base, it stops. If I screw the chimney barrel onto the base first (not desirable) and then screw on the bellcap, it goes together reasonably smoothly. I suppose I could just force it, being that even if the outer bellcap threads were to strip out, the chimney barrel would still be holding everything together tightly.

Thoughts?

I trap 26 gauge wire under tge screws of the KFL+ v2.

Did you get the flat top bell cap i put in my "short Kayfun parts list" or did you get a bell cap that looked like the bell cap.

Some of those similar Bell caps look identical but there is sonething ocf snd don't work right.

I used to sell s lot of Kayfun attys (lite plus, lite plus V2, and Kayfun Monster Mini) and some of the bell caps had issues.

PM me.

Got the bell caps you use. Only thing I got different was black bases.

The base may be the culprit

I don't like to do this but @oplholik told me that when he was putting bis Compact Kayfun together he had several issues and I had several issues with the bell caps with the clear barrels.

Oh, sure, because you know it's all about the base...

Wait... there could be a song there...

Sounds like the threads are OK when you put it together w chimney first and then slam cap... Might try that for your first build and bottom fill thru screw until you get more comfortable w the pieces.

Once they are stripped then won't be able to recover, so don't want to force.

Bellcap screws onto base perfectly... chimney screws onto base perfectly... chimney screws into bellcap perfectly... put them all together loosely and they all screw together nicely... tighten the chimney into the bellcap and you have an engineering faux pas of trying to get two separate sets of thread (3 actually) to align properly. you would need luck or some crazy engineer that specifically designed all three parts to have the threads indexed exactly the same and then hope the machine that cut the threads nailed it. Being that it is a very fine thread, not that much luck is actually required... I would bet 3 out of 5 might screw together with little to no binding.

I forced it and intentionally stripped the threads out of the bellcap to base junction... the chimney threads hold everything together just as well. Maybe the next one I put together will jive, but not these two. If I wanted to shim the chimney to bellcap, I'm sure I could get it to work nicely but, no need.

I have a very good reason to expect tgee base is tge culprit.

I said that because he is using 3/4 of the pieces that i, @Katdarling , @oplholik , @misswish1, @Sugar_and_Spice , and others are using 100% of the same parts i use.

The ONLY difference is the black base he chose.

I used bright, Rainbow, gold, and blue bases i pjt together and sold on. Ebay.

All of the colors mentioned above worked perfectly.

I bought 5 blue bassses from FT. Sometines i hadvto jyggkw bases, barrels, and bell caps before i found a combination of pieces that worked together.

I had both experience and reason to suspect tge base different than i recommended.
