@Plettschner, if you are looking for a black KFL base that fits the slam cap that @Two_Bears suggests:

$4.31 Replacement Base for Kayfun Lite Plus - stainless steel / black plated at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
in silver:
$4.31 Replacement Base for Kayfun Lite Plus - w/ logo / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

What I like about this base (and it's silver brother) is that the AFC is on the side and not bottom for ease of use. I can confirm fits like a champ on that slam cap and vapes superb. Can bottom fill as @Two_Bears suggests.

For anyone looking for deck screws for the KF these are greatness. Catches the coil every time first try:

Thanks... I just ordered a couple of those bases on Friday. Mainly got them to see if they lack the whistle like the V2 with the afc screw on the bottom has. Good find on those screws.

Yeah, those screws are what I replace all my FT deck screw bases with as the ones stock usually suck.

Here is a new "quirky" vape/hookah device that just came out... you can filter the vapor of your ejuice through another liquid to infuse more flavor. You can filter it through water, fruit juice, or even beer or wine! I don't think I'd ever buy it, but I definitely would like to try it... the video is too long, but if you watch the first and last 5 min you'll get the gist of it.

That is the istick 30! Probably my fave cheapie... Just feels great in the hand, stands up like a box mod but thin like a tube.

The pawn drip tip is one of my faves, got over a dozen though appreciate the offer!

What NR-R-NR coils are you guys buying from FT? I'm looking for 28ga NR-R-NR coils and all I'm finding are 32ga and smaller.

ETA: It would be nice if they gave some more specs o these coils. ID and # of wraps might get me to buy some rather than giving up again.

I've ordered a spool each of SS316L and Kanthal A1 wire in 26ga. 28ga has been my favorite for years.

Anyone use 26ga wire in their low wattage attys? I've been having to do 10 wraps on 28ga Kanthal to get 2 ohms. I'd like to get 1 ohm in 8 wraps. Looks like 26ga will give me that. It also will get me around .5 ohm in SS316L.

What tank uses NR-R-NR wires anymore? Those wires were deisigned for top coil tanks where the legs had a long walk to the 510. In most bottom coil tanks, the leg length is too tiny to make much of a difference.

I have a bundle laying here somewhere, and once in a blue moon, I get the urge to build my Ithaka tank... that's the only tank I use those wires on... I even used to hand splice wires before buying the welded wires.

All of that is to say you probably don't need NR-N-NR and could get away with straight 28...

What coil?

Nautilus BVC... was just going by a recommendation to use them to avoid burning the insulators.

There is that, but the danger of that is pretty minimal at the wattages you're using... bump it up to 25 watts and take a 5 second pull, and, yeah...

I use these. My sophias take NR-R-NR coils and so I use them for everything else. These coils fit on a 14g blunt needle. I found these particular coils are the best shaped prewound coil at fasttech. The braided silica wick helps keep the shape. Like I said, I remove the wick so being a round coil helps with rewicking.

I bought a pocket rocket... very billet box type device. It has WAY too much airflow for me and I'm trying to think of ways to close off most of the air. I tried duct tape (it fixes everything right!) but the space is too tight where the atomizer tank fits into. Wasn't enough room, its super tight fit. I can get to all holes from the inside but how to fill/close them off without taking up room?

So, any ideas are welcome or if someone has done something similar already:

I am not familiar with the device, but if the holes go clear through, can you plug them with candle wax or putty to test your theory? If you drip some wax or paraffin, it will be moldable before it sets, and if you don't like it, you can push it back out without damaging the body. If you like the results, then consider something more permanent like some drops of white glue or similar that won't melt the plastic or finish on the body.
