Are they worth the price? I haven't tried a high end DT yet. Haven't paid more than $5 for one! But if they're higher quality, I'd buy

Cherry vapes should have a lifetime guarantee, at least they used to. If one breaks, just contact them and they will ask where you bought it from(other vendors sell their tips also) and once they check, they replace it free of charge.

The knuckle head swivel ones are my favorite. Too bad they only come in 2 colors

And you're getting it, sometimes draped in an acid tone by those forgetting that they too were noobs at one time, long (or not so long) ago.
No acidic tone there at all, I am not the first to suggest that Chels do some research instead of jumping head first into the random selection of cheap fasttech atomizers. You know yourself that some of them are absolute junk and can take experienced tinkering to get working. That just compounds the problems for an inexperienced builder. This was not a wicking or leaking issue from some obscure atty that you bang your head on for a long time trying to resolve. Posting a picture and someone tells you how to fix it.

This is a coil basics 101 problem. Inexperienced builders should always put a new build on an ohm meter first and have a good understanding of what it is telling you. This would have revealed there was an actual problem with the coils. Instead it gets put on a mod and fired, good thing it wasn't a mech mod or it might have gone wrong quite fast. Also instead of understanding why the loops at the end glowed red and easily fixing it, the build will probably get ripped out and a new one installed. How is this learning by doing?

Sure I was a noob a few years ago, but I had a solid understanding of building before I wrapped the first coil for my Kayfun.

Isn't it up to the experienced to help these new members out? Not everyone has the same knowledge base as the more experienced diyers or the builders. Some don't even know the correct questions to ask. How else are they expected to learn if we don't show them the correct and safest way to accomplish whatever they are trying to do?

I will go on to say that the majority of members here have learned from the other members here no matter the subject. To tell them just to go and research it themselves is, imo, very short sighted. If you are going to send them elsewhere to learn the info they seek at least point the way via a link.

If it bothers anyone here to take the time to help anyone that has questions, then maybe the reader should just read the post and pass on answering the question. Negativity is not the way to encourage anyone who wants to learn. They should not be turned away or left to feel like they have done something wrong by asking.

ECF is known for its knowledge base and the vast amount of info stored here. Not just in the files and posts but also in the member base knowledge. Sure we all joke around about this or that, or 'look at my vape mail' or mine is bigger or better than yours mentality. But the truth is that we would have never been able to become the largest forum of its kind around if everyone kept the info they have learned to themselves and did not share it.

Actually, it tested .4 on the ohm meter. Of course I always test on an ohm meter before using

Good Morning all! 2nd cup of coffee poured and headed out with my wife to watch the 8 year old nephew take part in his school's field day activities. It's 48 this morning, but the sun's rising in a clear sky, so temps should normalize soon.

I love outdoor activities where vaping isn't prohibited!

More info is probably in order. I counted 11 turns on each coil. That's quite a bit of coil mass.

What's the coil wire material? Wattage you are firing it at? Did you try raking the coil with a Teflon tweezer between attempts? What voltage/wattage are you using?

Coil build has been taken apart, but they were mystery coils off of eBay (I don't order coils from there anymore). I fire at 10w and strummed with ceramic tweezers
