It's fun when you can canoe around the front yard [emoji5]

Our place is Dry, on a small high spot and up about 4' above ground. Neighbor to the right of us is not so lucky, be has a mobile home fairly close to the normal lake edge; the top of a swing set, about 6' above local ground level, is poking up in the middle of that shot.

Second photo is the dog pen we have at camp, about 20' lakeward and a couple feet lower ground level compared to our house there. The water is 2-1/2' deep at the lake edge of the pen [emoji5]

If anyone wants to try pumping our front yard, go for it [emoji3]

Gulp!...Glad your home was high and dry. Man that's alot o water!

I thought Vegemite was some sort of version of Kraft Cheez Whiz....WOW...was I wrong.

Not even a little bit. Its really hard to describe the taste. It sort of has the cosistency of thick cheese spread but the taste is unique, i ate promite as a kid and when we migrated to Australia switched to vegimite. So i was brought up on the taste.

I've simply been way too long and am 50+ pages behind, so I've skipped to the last page of this thread and have NFI what has been previously posted about Vegemite.

I used to home brew beer.
The gunky leftover yeast slop that is left in the bottom of the brewing container is the base for Vegemite.
Very nutrient rich, but not very palatable..so there are a few other things added to make the end result.
salt is one. A Lot!
Using Vegemite needs to be done sparingly. NO Thick spreading. Waaay to overpowering!
Just a thin smear on toast is more than enough.

Promite, Marmite, and all the other iterations are the same albeit with varying degrees of salty/sweet.

NEVER EVER spread Vegemite thick like Jam/jelly, peanut butter, Nutella, etc or you will gag and be put off forever!

Used sparingly it's one of the most delicious, and nutritious spreads in the world.

.....AND now I've got a craving for some Vegemite on toast...or Promite

..oh and due to the lovely balance of salty sweet Promite has it works as a sensational marinade smeared all over a leg of Lamb, covered in alfoil and roasted to perfection!

Hey guys,
I just commented this on the "Rhett & Link Meet The Surgeon General" video, which was speaking crap on vaping :nah: May I request you to kindly visit the video, like my post and place a forthcoming comment there - so that (1)the comment doesn't get taken down (public opinion matters) and (2)Others get to know the truth about vaping, thus maybe, just maybe we've done a dent on the deeming regulations (again public opinion matters).
Cheers!

And all that just got me fired up to fill my slow cooker on lowest setting to the brim with veggies, lamb chops, and lamb shanks..and smearing a thick coating of Promite across all the meat.

I've set my timer for 10 hours and am already Droooooooooling excessively from the wonderful aroma.

And here's a noice picture...to prove it did happen LOL

My expectations of common courtesy are rarely satisfied and I am pleasantly surprised when it does. I suppose I realise they are my expectations and maybe they are not based in reality.

Well - It seems "Your" reality is overlapping "My" Universe of expectations then too - I expect (almost demand) that the same courtesy shown be returned as given . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

helping those that might not know Eve from Adam.

NOPE - NA DA - NOT HAPPENING . . . They gotta figure that one out them self . . .

Cheese head has something to do with screws? I thought it referred to a Green Bay Packers fan. Though they are kinda screw, and have a few screws loose, so now I get the connection.:D

As long as it is NOT - "Head Cheese" - "We" should be fine . . .

So, now that the TP's getting all PC and what-not, I realize that I shall soon be arrested, and likely cast from the land. "Shunned" or "Shunt", if you will.

Should such a fate occur, I wish to thank all y'all for each and every laugh provided in these past (almost & just about exactly) two years.

I am "pleased", and I "thank you".
