Much easier and better to replace the rba instead of the base. imo
Costs less too.

:)

Agreed [emoji4] this one is about to go in the trash. Just going to try a new coil one more time

did you just take the RBA apart to have a look ?
maybe just disassembly then putting it back together will result in a fix :unsure: (shot-in-dark)

MOD DOWN!

Crap... dropped the Evic Basic with a KFL Bellcapper on it, while walking the dog, on the pavement... ripped the bellcap right out of the chimney base... at least the tank wasn't full and I have plenty of spare parts.
:shock::shock::shock:
Oh my... a youngling! We had rabbit ears with tinfoil and got 5 channels on a really good day! Beautiful black and white, too. Satellite was science fiction when I was growing up.

Try backing the 510 pin out just a tad. Use a coil mandrel (small screwdriver) through the air holes. (For full tear down, you'd take it all the way out - the positive post will then fall off :) )

Make sure the pos post is still firmly seated, don't want it wiggling around! (And in your previous pic, looks like a small tail off the coil is sticking out past the base - will probably be a short when the chamber is put back on. Also, you want your coil leads coming in on the LEFT side of the screw, so tightening the screw draws the wire in tighter instead of tryig to push it out. Hence the left/right, clockwise/counter coil winding ;) )

I tried with pliers to remove the post and bottom pin but they didn't budge

cool, try holding the top flange , then something like lil screwdriver thru bottom holes to 'twist' hollow screw out... ;)
