It's weird the cubis would be so bad when the previous tank which takes the clr rebuildable coils was so good. Well in fairness the co coils were awful. The tank wasn't good until you used the clr coils. Even if you threw them away since hey were the same price they were much much better. I tend to be a fan of he old horizontal style coils over vertical found in everything now. The clr were horizontal.

So I just popped my last triton mini clapton coil into the kabuki as I fried my way through the .7 in two days (totally my fault for letting a tank get too low and dry burning it - these coils have so little cotton one dry hit ruins them).

Anyway I put that 1.8 triton mini clapton in and man it pales in comparison to the .7 and 1.8 for flavor. I had mistakenly remembered it as being much more similar than in fact it is.

Now it could be it has to break in but out if the box the .7 Bvc from the. 2 package is a way better vape than the clapton. I'm sorry if I presented it otherwise earlier. I do think the triton mini coils are better than the original Bvc but the new Bvc are better than the triton mini coils

Since I fried the new Bvc I took it apart and they are using all cotton pad the whole way through this time. Not using that weird material on the very outside wrap anymore.

Based on my shipping notifications I should have three packs of .7 arriving early next week so I'll have my side by side tests completed by next weekend.

The triton mini nickel coil is pretty close flavor wise to the new Bvc. I'd say it tastes better than the 1.8 but. It quite as good as the .7.
All the way around even if you prefer a lower vapor output I'd say the .7 wins. Just run it at a lower power level. Personally the .7 at 18-21 watts seems to be the sweet spot. Assuming it lasts longer than I got from the first one which I allowed to dry hit (it should).

It's a plastic bellcap version with the same base

Thank you. I went and looked and saw that. So you could get the authentic lite and a clone for top parts if you wanted to ensure small parts were using materials up to snuff and wanted to save 50%. I wonder how the plastic chimney affects the flavor of it does. I may try a clone list to see if I feel there's value in buying an authentic. Since I prefer the more expensive one (of course I do, figures). I'm not a big fan of plastic tanks.

Does anyone here have the vika (lite or otherwise) and a kabuki and a n2? If so. What's the difference in vape? Air control seems similar. Design seems similar. The vika is better looking imo and I see they have a p3 version too. Is there a Usa vendor selling the fantasy lite anyone would recommend

I much prefer horizontal coils with wicks exposed to the fluid (such as the CLR coil, or even the aged Kanger Evod/Protank coil) as they just perform consistently whereas vertical coils may outperform horizontals initially but their performance deteriorates fairly quickly.

Now I think @Krisma may have mentioned it before, but I've modified Cubis coils and made them horizontal coils (with exposed wicks) and altered the airflow and while they easily outperform the standard Cubis coil, they don't match the CLR equipped tanks. The only advantage the Cubis tanks have is they don't leak through the 510 connector, on every other measure they perform worse than the CLR tanks.

I'm all caught up, jeeze you don't do things by half's do you! Was like ten pages behind, but I see a lot of whats been talked about is the Nautilus 2 an Triton mini. Personally I think the flavours better on the Nautilus 2 but it leaks. The Triton mini works better but the flavour and airflow is not as good.

I've been vaping the same ADV since I started vaping. The only time I change up is when I'm having a beer.

Edit: I thought about it. I change up almost every night.

Have you used the EHpro in tc mode? If so, would you give it thumbs up?
I'm using it in SS TC mode. I have to run it higher than I would on truly accurately calibrated devices, but it does function in that it delivers a warm vape and does not burn my wick. If you're expecting exacting accuracy, then, no, I could not give it a thumbs up. If you don't mind tweaking and fiddling a bit, then, yes... a hesitant thumbs up.

Thank you! I am going to try a Fasttech pre-order. Wish me luck in actually getting it, lol

I have to agree the Cubis is the worst I've ever owned. I hate it so much that I've never put a coil or a drop of juice in it! 99.99% Of what I read about it is negative. Don't even need to try it. I have no idea why but I have an RBA head for it on the way and I don't expect it will ever get used either.:?::blink:
My BF RBA was in the mailbox today. Soooo happy that I ordered it now. Just got my 2nd Lil Blue Screwdriver with it!!

I haven't tried building the one I have, mainly because I thought the Cubis was crap, but I hear it's a challenge.

Same here. Just wanted to have one since I have the tank. Will probably take a dire emergency before I bother with either of them.

I feel that if we, as a community, don't at least try to shop local, we're hurting ourselves more than the couple of dollars saving can justify.
Not that I disagree, but let me tell you a little story. I was just starting out in the vaping world, fall of 2015, had my first setup ordered and on the way. An Ego One, I've since piffed it but I think it was a 2200mAh battery.
Anyway, I found out there was a vape shop that was only a couple blocks out of my normal route to and from work, decided I'd stop in and see what they had, maybe be able to start vaping a couple days sooner that way. I walk in, there is nobody behind the counter. There are a couple young guys (couldn't have been much over 18) flirting with a barely dressed girl who I doubt was 18, blowing what seemed to me to be massive clouds at the time. I look over their stuff for about 10 minutes (by the way, more than half the store seemed to be devoted to something other than vaping, ie glassware, if you get my drift) Finally after 10 minutes, and no sign of an employee, I head for the door. Now one of the kids asks if he can help me.
Nope, you were too busy trying to get some from the half naked chick, you lost your chance to help me. First and last time in that store.
Another vape shop I found nearby, big prominent sign on the door declaring that no one under the age of 18 is allowed inside. Not going to state my opinion on if that rule should be required or not, but..if you post that sign, you better enforce it in my opinion. First time I went into that one there was a kid (maybe 7 or 8) in there with his father. So I never went back to that one either. Neither store ever saw a dime from me and never will.
Third store I found in my area, they were helpful, they were respectful, they didn't try to push anything specific on me, and they were willing to answer any questions I had. They were more focused on the juice side of things so their hardware selection was quite limited, but I ended up buying my second setup from them, an Aspire Odyssey kit, the original version, even though I knew I was paying about 50% more than I could have ordered it online. That store has continued to get some degree of my business for nearly 2 years now.
I do think we should support the local businesses but I also think they need to earn our business, Indigo earned mine, the other 2 did not.
