A regular ohm reader or something like a mini coil tab?

I don't think they will fire a coil. Or mine won't anyway. I finally picked up a mini coil tab to build and fire the coil. Here's the one I got.

Thank you for the explanation. My red one and my hot pink are the shiny kind like your emerald green. Love them both.ProVape didn't use powder coat. Early on they used chrome and black chrome, but those didn't hold up very well. All of the tubes are first media blasted. Satin slivers are just media blasted; Polished & Ice are polished (after the blast), and the colors are CeraKote and ZenKote. That's the official story (I'm skipping 24k gold). In addition to experimenting with applications (like the fades), it appears they were also trying different components - the bronze, for example, has a texture none of the others do. CeraKote colors used to almost all look matte, so calling some of the later colors "CeraKote" is likely just for convenience. Perhaps ceramic-based is more accurate. I don't know what top coating is on my emerald green to make it shiny, but if they had more shiny colors earlier on I would be poorer. Note: The Stealth is tripled dipped in ceramic/CeraKote
ProVape never revealed what they were trying, but some older users might remember when the inner battery contact changed from round to rectangle or when you could give alcohol baths anymore due to the change in the board adhesive. No warning, things just happened.
Does anyone remember back when I was trying to predict upcoming ProVari colors from a CeraKote chart?

I only have the purple of this variety, and am oh-so-careful with it (LOVE the color, but know that it's sensitive).
I so miss those alcohol baths. I kept two V2's, just so I could do it once in awhile. It's the little things...

A "regular" ohm reader is powered by voltage (normally a small battery) (AA or AAA)
There are no watts or amps involved, except for those needed to power the display. Which is variable dependent on the resistance being measured.
With Ohm readers that will power an atomizer, the wattage (or amperage) used to power the atomizer is a separate ckt. from the ohm reader. And the power supplied to power the atomizer would be completely up to the manufacturer of the reader. (there is no set value)
