Once you get the fiddly, microscopic, POS working, it's great. Getting the fiddly, microscopic, POS working, not so great. Still better than the Triton rba, the Luggy rba, and the Cubis rba.

I could not get that stupid screw in the side of the Cubis RBA to hold the coil in place, so I gave away the whole thing (tank + RBA) in the classies. Not worth the effort.

Just got to read some of my favorite words - Updated Delivery Day...

Nothing terribly exciting, some drip tips and DIY flavors, but it's still vapemail :)

i used to be quit pleases with the aspire bvc coils but quit recently they changed the label on the packages(before it was a plain aspire logo and now there are some 'Tips')and it seems that something changed;at first there is a bad and bitter taste and the braking time is much longer and even then, i feel it's not like it used to be.
maybe they changed the wicking material.
for the nautilus2 1.8 coil,i see divided reviews;some say it's exactly the same and others, that it has a bigger hole.
.....

I posted this a little bit ago but it shows the difference in the coils, so they have revamped the Bvc coils imo. Although I feel they improved them bough break in seems more rough. As mentioned taste is subjective but I don't feel they are the same anymore.

Have a look old vs new packaging. I didn't have my calipers then but you can see the difference with the naked eye. Anyway prefer it detest I think we can agree they st least changed the wick holes and imo they changed cotton or wire suppliers too. This is definitely a v2 in one way or another.

Old is on the left new on he right. Both 1.8 you can also see the threads have changed on the top. They're taller now / longer. More threaded area.

The Nautilus rba is not bad, just microscopic, an exercise in frustration trying to build. I like the v1 better than v2, the v2 would make the Dalai Lama cuss out loud and the Pope kick a stained glass window.

The v2 is the only one that works in the kabuki right? I considered trying the rba also but I have so many tanks I build I just kind of figured why bother. Unless they're really cheap and I could get five of them to have prebuilt and ready to go (like the egg roll - clR)

Speaking of which
Isn't that mega tank above just a clone of the original mega tank? It's sort of looks like a hybrid of the pro tank and ego mega.

Ok Ive typed tabk enough hat it's now going in my iPhone auto expander/text shortcuts. Now anytime I type tabk it will actually correct itself to tank. Man I love that feature. Totally not what it was created for but works great for regularly typod words. I also use it to store build information so I can type something like ssclap
and it outputs

6 wraps spaced | 28ss/36ss Clapton | 2.25mm id

Go into settings - general - keyboard - text replacement and you can add auto correct or text expanding stuff to the autocomplete dictionary. Very very handy.

That these funny wire things and throw them in the junk box or the bin. You now have a great case to keep your silica in.

I had some that were bad. They changed the wicking or something. I have started cleaning my coils before use.

How are you cleaning your coils? You mean the outside right?

I'm sending them to h00ligan.

I have determined that it was a gift. If you ordered stuff early in the healthcabin anniversary sale, you'll probably get it too.

And I really appreciate your sending them and the info! I'll or them to good use. I was actually just looking to try some of them.

I will be starting, you can cater to your needs more. Getting a kayfun mini v3 and a tsunami rba. I thought I'd see how dripping an rtas compare :) I have done a few rbas with various tanks though and it always blew factory coils out of the water.
Fwiw an unsolicited opinion.
A lot of rda are not good for mtl use. Even if they're bottom air flow the holes are massive and the chuff caps are garbage. So it may take some trial and error to find something you like. Unfortunately as with sub ohm tanks you can't just build higher and expect a good vape. The design has to be right.

I've found a Couple rda hat work well for we TP

Origen little 16
Mark bugs chalice line up to v3
Noname notoy

If you end up liking dripping you may want to check out the squonker route! All the dripping with half the work !

Here's a rda build I love for mtl

mtl dripper build - flavor monster.
2.25mm | 6 or 7 wraps spaced coil | 28ss/36ss Clapton wire from lightening vapes.

@h00ligan ,yes, the v2 is the one working in the kabuki, the v1 also works but you have to replace the kabuki glass with the zephyrus glass.

Do you happen to know if the fat boy glass from the cleito works on he kabuki? I've heard it does.

Yanks for he info. Maybe I'll try it.

Sorry for the multiple posts all. I think I'm caught up. I kept thinking I was done then saw something else. Forgive he improper etiquette and lack of multi quote for most.

You mean the one that makes your tank look like a pregnant snake? I know it works on the Vika, I'll try it on the kabuki when I get home.

That's the one. Thank you!

Boiling water bath

Doesn't the water ruin the coil? I've never washed a coil and had it vape right afterwards. Most manufacturers state coils should not be submerged (maybe they want people not to wash them so they get more money for coils). You don't notice bad effects from doing this ?

Just tried out my Kayfun filling tool for the first time to rewick a couple of KFL's. On the first one the tool wouldn't go in. After a while I gave up and emptied a tankful of juice in the trash bin. On the second one I decided to push really hard to see what happened and the tool went in. But then I couldn't figure out how to get the base back on and the tool out without all the juice spilling on my desk and one leg.

On top of that when I got the mess cleaned up and went to reassemble the tank I noticed what looked like a black hair stuck in the hole in the top of the tank. Turned out the tool had shaved off several small pieces of rubber from the captive o-ring.

Guess I need to watch the videos and try to figure out where I went wrong. Or maybe the tool doesn't work in that particular KFL clone.

I wasn't able to get me refilling tool to work either. Did you find a helpful video?
ETA I hadn't seen Kat's reply

I actually took your comments quite positively!
Thanks for the congrats! Feels great!
The big test was last night when I went to a winery that had food, live music and of course, wine! This wasn't my first time wine tasting since I started vaping, but the first time since the recent stress in my life. I imbibed and had a great time and the thought of picking up a stinky never crossed my mind!

I think I have to be fair and put a brand new coil in the vapefly for a real head to head as this coil has had four different juices through it. First blush the clr coil seems more flavorful with this one bright juice.

And yes you forced me; not fair!

    LOL!

    Loved the visuals, bbear!

Thank you both (S&S and lil bud). The list, she doth grow.
