I have a success story to share. A good friend who's in his 40s was a 2 PAD for most of his adult life. A few months ago he was diagnosed with COPD and of course his doc told him he had to quit smoking. He tried vaping and I helped him with some decisions, although I couldn't do much because he lives back home in the northern KY area.

It wasn't really easy but I'm happy to say he was able to kick the habit fairly fast and, at his most recent exam, his doc said his breathing has already improved.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay! I've introduced a few people to vaping but no success stories yet, unfortunately. I did just give my 10yo's stepmom a pico and melo III (my first setup) and an assortment of liquids and told her she can ask questions if she wants or to google her questions. I told her she could keep them if she was using them. I think I've been too pushy on the other people I've tried to convert so I'm taking a more reserved position now.

You with the Spheroid, and the rest, doesent need a protank, I am with you, another Gem it is :)
I am on shop stop for a while, I used quite a bit of money on vape gear yesterday, so no more for a while.
I just got 2 nautis, from the same friend,I build for, so I think nauti coils are in my future.
Are they ok to build ?
I bought up a .... load of Nauti coils cheap as chips that someone sold here in the classies and I don't even attempt to rebuild those lil suckers, way to much work.

I have Nauti 2, Vika Fantasy and Kabukis for the Nauti coils when I am in the mood for a "pop and go", which honestly is maybe 5% of the time. I just like my own builds too much lol.

Honestly, if I got a protank it would be simply to educate myself and if I liked the rebuild then maybe put a few back in case our worst fears ever came to past.

Here are the four different coils I tried for the emow. The last one is organic cotton and by far the best. I really like it. Unfortunately I threw the boxes out to save space so I'd have to see what the coil is called. But anyway it's organic cotton for sure.

Some of these don't wick well. Some do t produce good vapor. The occ one works like s champ. I'm glad for he thread i forgot I bought like twenty of these coils.

Bottom one is organic cotton. If anyone wants he coil pack name I'll go find it on fasttech. They use weird names like mt2s and similar.

The dual coil heads I have seen, have 2 coils one over the other, with a pice of silica between.
A paralell coil is made with 2 no res- res- no res wires, you twist the no res parts together, on each side, and coil it, with the strands paralell on the mandrel, do not cross the wires.
You end up with 1 coil, instead of installing 2 on top of eachother - easier to build

I'll have to check these out. What about he stick KFC coils? See below.

Is that a new cleito? I see the old and 120 but haven't heard of the exo. The original cleito has stainless steel coils which interest me. The later one does not.

I'm not a fan of anything kayfun after he lite. I feel the flavor of the 4 and later just isn't up to snuff and the design is overwhelming at best. At worst it's over engineered and way too big.

Interesting. Is the emow tank in the pro tank line ? I saw here were like ten different coil types for the emow I have which I believe say they're protank compatible. I found one of them made with occ and at easily the best head. But it cokes with occ stock. I'll see if I can get s picture of the box if the occ coils that are protabk compatible. They're super cheap.

I'm not opposed or saying people shouldn't explore direct lung. I'm saying for a die hard smoker walking into a vape shop for the first time looking to kick smoking and not interested in hobby vaping directing to a sub ohm kit is a mistake. And I still see it being done over recommending a juul or icare go etc. honestly closed system thingns like the juul and cync are probably the best because they aren't fiddly. I'm in the camp who feels vaping should be as easy as lighting a cigarette for those wanting smoking cessation.

Of course people who want to quit will quit. No matter what they use. But most smokers are resigned that quitting is hard and a sub ohm setup isn't going to be a like for like substitute. That's all I'm saying. If they want to get on to sub ohm vaping power to them but if I'm working at a vape shop and I see someone who wants to quit I'm not pointing them at a smok system that hits like a .... for a first setup.

You should look at my Kompact Kayfun.

It only weighs 41 grams ( w tank of juice and my short drip tip.

Even better is only 30 mm tall. Not counting 510 and drip tip.

I got this on FT for $5.43 because i almost destroyed my silverplay Nano.

I got this to be a beater and darn if it didnt perform almost as well as my Silverplay Nano, and can get spare bases, screws, bell caps, O rings, etc.

You dont like tge KF4. Neither do i.

I also hate the KF Mini 3 and sure i woukd hate. The. KF5. With tye stupid wall around the build decj.

the newest one is the vocc-t
the one before that is vocc
both vertical coils.

Before that was dual coils which they just recently phased out.

So what's the bottom one I have. It seems to be a good coil. I believe it's not vertical.

From top to bottom you have
1) Newer type of dual coil
2) Vertical coil (not sure if it's the VOCC-T or VOCC)
3)Older dual coil
4) protank single coil

Heads up, Tootlers, for anyone considering that skeleton mod. Not trying to be an alarmist, and have absolutely zero first hand knowledge; but if there IS anything to be concerned about - I feel compelled to watch out for ya's.

LOL! I actually love the name. It's something straight out of Katville!!!

Just eyes on it, Kad - at least until they clarify this situation (if there even is a situation). Safety first, good sir.
