Me too. I would say summer was way more intolerable in Iowa. And don't even get me started on Iowa winters.

I'm from Virginia originally. Ended up being stationed in San Diego in the NAVY and then moving up North once I got out.

SVD and the smok SID

I've been using the SIDs exclusively for the last 2.5 years. I have a stack of nicer mods in the stash. Not sure why I don't use them...

Pro's: 510 & Ego threads, lightweight aluminum, can handle clumsy drops well, $10 everywhere by now.

Con's: Screen hard to see in sunlight, button gets mushy after a year, will randomly shut down. Unscrew battery cap and rescrew back on to fix. Will be fine for weeks, then one day you have to do this 2 or 3 times. No pattern to it.

That said, I just scored an SVD2 for $10 on ssvapes.com, free shipping.

I always read reviews with a grain of salt. Even the most raved about products have been disappointing when they arrived.

Reminds me of the ol' saying: No matter how cute they are, somebody, somewhere is sick of thier crap.... :pervy:

Performs great but feels so cheap :(

Hey, I resemble that remark.... Oh, the MOD! Never mind...

EXACT Same thing with my SID. I also have an SVD2 and it is about as bullet proof as one can get, IMHO, just too heavy to take out and about, the SID is a lot better for that as it weighs next to nothing. I have 1 of each BTW.

Go to Sally's Beauty Supply (or any Beauty Supply open to the public) they also carry small bags of Rayon Cotton (10ft) - which is usually enough to wrap around a head a few times) . . . Here is a link to the one available @ Sally's for $1.99:

CelluCotton Beauty Coil 10ft.

Or even go to a beauty salon in your area for that matter and just ask if they have a small amount they will let Ya' have (most places will, especially if you use their services or explain why Ya' want it). . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)
Or another kind ecf member will send along a little packet of it and I'll go from there. ;)

I get my rayon from the supermarket, in the feminine hygiene isle......
Do you really or are you joshing? I'm really quite interested in more detailed info on this one.

I started out a looong time ago on those old e-cigs from China but they didn't get me off of smoking. The Vision Spinner did though, that's where I started my calendar date in my sig. I eventually worked up to higher and higher Watts and got into that whole 'klowds bro klowds' mentality...but that made me want to smoke again. I realized that it wasn't giving me what I needed. So I calmed it back down and I mostly vape at around 12 Watts now. I also really enjoy Temp Control at 450-475 degrees F with a restrictive drip tip and the airflow wide open, feels like a pipe. I'll occasionally chuck clouds for fun but that's not what really does it for me.
I haven't been at it as long as you but I started out in Kloudz Bro land and made my way here to the TPs. My favorite place to be here on ecf. Welcome!

Ah...the advantages of being a tootle puffer. My dual battery box mod has been reading as basically dead for IDK how long and still firing my NautX with no problem. I guess I'll go ahead and change these batteries out, lol.
Reminding me I need to swap my own battery out before I sit down and relax. :)

where's @ChelsB ?

haven't seen her in awhile.
Been missing you @ChelsB

What the heck do they mean (no protection)?
Not a mech mod?

I would melt in that temperature.
Here in Phoenix people are baking cookies on their car dashboard. I hate this time of year.

Thanks to @Two_Bears and @ToolmanTexas for the kayfun info. I successfully built my first franken-kayfun tonight and am very pleased with the result. Base from a cheap o 3.1 clone, nano caps and chimneys and a vase drip tip. Fantastic flavor and vapor. Definitely more of these in my future. Just getting in there and trying it gave me the confidence to get in there and try more. Will be ordering more parts during the 15% off sale. Also thanks to mr Bears for recommending a 2.5 ID build on the doggy (in your blog). I had gotten into a habit of using 2.0 on pretty much everything but I'm liking 2.5 much more in that particular atty.

Nah. If the Dark Ages descend I will make my own mod and juice. They really can't stop the sale of the equipment you need. It's too common.
I was thinking more about stocking up on nic, mods and tanks. Juice makings will still be available.

Finally, a temperature conversion chart we can all understand!!!

  • 20 above (-6 C): Floridians put on coats, thermal underwear, gloves and woolly hats. People in Canada throw on a flannel shirt.
  • 15 above (-8.5 C): Philadelphia landlords finally turn up the heat. People in Canada have the last cookout before it gets cold.
  • 0 degrees (-18 C): People in Miami all die. Canadians lick the flagpole.
  • 20 below (-26 C): Californians fly away to Mexico. People in Canada get out their winter coats.
  • 40 below (-36 C): Hollywood disintegrates. The Girl Guides in Canada re selling cookies door to door.
  • 60 below (-46 C): Polar bears begin to evacuate the Arctic. Canadian Boy Scouts postpone "Winter Survival" classes until it gets cold enough.
  • 80 below (-56 C): Mt. St. Helens freezes. People in Canada rent some videos.
  • 100 below (-66 C): Santa Claus abandons the North Pole. Canadians get frustrated because they can't thaw the keg.
  • 297 below (-164.5 C): Microbial life no longer survives on dairy products. Cows in Canada complain about farmers with cold hands.
  • 460 below (-246 C): ALL atomic motion stops (absolute zero in the Kelvin scale). People in Canada start saying, "Cold 'nuff for ya?"
  • 500 below (-266 C): Hell freezes over. The Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup.
I love that. But change the Floridians to 40 above and you got it!

Hi there! Yes, it's been quite a while! How's everyone doing?
Hey, where you been? We missed you

What gt said ^^^^^^^^, he's to blame.......

Here, it's Kotex U brand, but I'm sure you'll be able to find an equivalent......

I personally find it to be super to Sally's, and regular/slims seem better than the Super

Well...I just finally got off of the Health Cabin website about 30 minutes ago! Didn't go to sleep at all since there was SOO much to see at terrific prices. I was really amazed at the almost give-away prices of a bunch of stuff that had already sold out, too! Just 2 examples: Little Eleaf Mini 10W iSticks...were just $4.50, so $3.00 with 30% off! Some Innokin iClear 30B tanks were only $.50, before the 30% off! I know I should've been checking out their sales a few years before now!

Now, I ended up being very bad. But, how could I pass up multiples of all these things, at these prices after the 30% off AND with free S/H?

Innokin SVD2 Kits - $8.75 for SS, $9.03 for Black

Joyetech eVic VTC Mini 60W Full Kit with eGo ONE Mega VT Atomizer - $13.93

Colorful Skin for Joyetech eVic VTC Mini Mod - $.90

5pc BVC Coils for Aspire Tanks (not the Nautilus or mini) - $5.17

5pc Upgraded Bottom Dual Coils for KangerTech PT3 & Mini, Aerotanks, etc. - $4.19

KangerTech EMOW 1300mAh Kit With Dual Bottom Coils - $4.79
(They even come with a 5-pack of the coils above, too!)

KangerTech USB Cable with Micro Port - $.69

KangerTech Subvod 60W 1300mAh Starter Kit With 1.9ml Toptank Nano - $8.61

Joyetech eGo ONE Atomizer 1.8/2.5ml in 5 different colors (Only had the 1.8mL ones left, which was fine with me) - $1.75

Innokin Micro USB Cable for iTaste CLK/VV 4/MVP 20W/MVP 30W - $.55

I'm buying nothing else from the July 4th sales...except about 5-6 flavorings from OSDIY. Got 3 vape mail packages last week, and this big box of stuff won't be here for probably awhile, but that's OK. There's nothing in it I have to have in a hurry.

I wouldn't go poking around on their website though, unless you've got some money burning a hole in your pocket. 'Cause it won't be in there for long if you do!
