The PC is a reconditioned HP that I bought for cheap just over a year ago. At the time I thought we didn't need a fancy dancy brand new one and it'd do just fine for a bit of downloading,surfing the web
and for posting/reading here plus it's one of the few computers that still came with Windows 7 on it.

Next computer bought for this house is gonna be brand new.
Phew.... this event could have been alot WORSE and thankfully it wasn't!

Both our laptops are reconditioned HPs too. We bought them for the same reasons you did, especially because they have Windows 7 - hate 10.

But hearing your story makes me wonder if it might be time to replace them with brsnd new ones. Besides I have my own Windows 7 disk so I caould scrub them and install it if I wanted. Hmmm.

I don't think you can put too much lemon peel honestly. I looked at a lot of recipes and there is a lot of variation.

so WHO did the RECONDITIONING ? was it HP or an outside source ?
sounds like a low quality CABLE, perhaps ?

I get asked a lot - I always tell people that Reconditioned is better due to the fact that the unit is not 'cookie-cutter' built, but somebody took the time to check it out...
if the price is GOOD , take the chance is what I typically suggest (but from a reputable vendor)

Don't know who did the reconditioning,I did buy it at a shop I'd bought plenty of stuff from but not reconditioned,this was the first.Googled around a bit and noticed some other folks also had the same problem....low quality cable.

I wouldn't overly worry about it,I have an HP laptop that's worked fine for a few years no problems ever.

I'm sure there are plenty of reconditioned HP computers around working great,I ended up with one with a low quality cable.

Upon further thinking I won't let it bother me either. This set of lappys is the third (6 total) for us with no problems.

My dad is wanting one and he liked my white one, so I was going to get him one to help him stop smoking. He's recovering from a stroke and the patches aren't helping and he's using one of mine right now to help cut back from his cigs.

It's fine I really don't think color is going to matter he just said white was nice color. I know the Pico is easier for him to hold than my provari.
