I just call them what they are, cigarettes. I assume that all the cutesy names people use for them here are because they're loathe to say the word cigarettes. Almost no one here is willing to use that word.

I use 'cigs' because I'm a lazy typist.

And to just again try to be clear I don't take any offense to it anymore, but for some reason the last few days I have noticed it more, and thought about how it made me feel a year and a half ago. And so I guess I am just wondering if, by using terms like that, we might be unintentionally driving away new people who are struggling to quit.

And for the record, other than a couple of short stints, I have been a dual user for almost 2 years now. Though I have made a promise to quit, and so I have set a quit date, and am going to do my best to stick to that quit date this time around. And yes, even though I am still smoking, I know that they (and my car, and my clothes, etc) stink.

I have no doubt that when you decide to make the switch totally and when you are ready you will succeed. That said, pls don't beat yourself up is there is a slip. Count the victories and celebrate the ones of those not smoked.

My physician whom I actually like a lot has no clue about the smoking addiction. I asked him once how much it is covered in medical school and apparently not much...about the same as good nutrition and a healthy diet. So unless they take it upon themselves to study these things further they think all a smoker has to do is the patch or cold turkey or join Weight Watchers for weight reduction.

At least that's what he told me he recommends and added that both issues simply require willpower. He obviously has no clue.

My doc has been very supportive and knowledgeable. He was very interested in vaping as a drug delivery system.

Yep, very true. I really was on the verge of giving up and just going back to smoking my 2 pad until I read this post a year and a half ago.

I know, crazy, right? In all likelihood that was the very first time I talked to you on ECF (though I'm not completely positive) and when I started spending time on the Womper thread where you were spending most of your time, I didn't remember that was you.

From having admitted to smoking years ago to a medical professional and having this entered in my chart and held over my head by the insurance company we used at the time as a reason to charge us higher premiums I learned that some things are better left unsaid.

Doncha' just love the 'know it all' types? Or another way to describe them is the 'right' fighters. Once their minds are made up, you may as well talk to a brick wall. Met loads of them during my career. So glad I am now retired.....

So to conclude............they DO stink. They make your clothes stink, your car, your hair, everything. But it's a life threatening addiction too. And addiction is a tough thing to break, and sometimes even tougher when everyone around you treats you like a second class citizen.
Gosh, I hope all this makes sense.

Went to San Diego for Marine graduation. One week, including 2 days flying and 2 no-vaping days on the base. Did luck out with the hotel. By chance we got one of the handful of rooms that had a small balcony so I did a bunch of vaping out there.

I spent a lot of time stressing about what to take. Last trip I just took Spinners and PT's. This time ended up with 2 Picos and 2 Nauti tanks. The Picos charge on USB so no charger. Couple of 30 ml bottles. All in a tupperware box. That worked out well for me.

What amazed me was how little juice and battery power I used. Even with the wife using them too. Handful of top up charges, and juice top ups. Guessing I got through around 20ml of juice. I'm sure I get through more if I spend a day at home playing on the computer.

My wife has been vaping very rarely for a long time with mini PTs. Lately she started using juice with some nic again. But on this trip she started hitting my gear and realised it's better than the PT's. Probably going to have to get her some gear of her own now.

Maybe it's just because I'm used to what I use, but to me, vaping is much easier than smoking was.
I just stick a fresh battery in a mod & off I go.

I usually need to wrap a fresh coil every couple of months or so. Probably punch a new carto once a month. Mix some juice about every 4 months. Check to see if the lights are green on the charger every so often.
As far as cleaning stuff, it takes me less time to wrap a coil than it doe to clean a coil .. so for the most part .. why bother.
As far as cleaning mods etc. It really helped when the DR. said I can't have donuts for breakfast anymore.

My coils last 2 1/2-3 months. My juice is gunky so i dry burn the coil every time i replace the wick.

It is sad to see how uninformed medical practice is. My general physician kept asking me about my smoking so I told her I no longer smoke cigarettes, I vape. I told her I had started with 18mg/ml and I am gradually decreasing the nicotine level. She finally admitted she doesn't know much about vaping but encouraged me to keep doing what I'm doing. Another physician I had to see promptly wrote me a prescription for nicorette gum starting at 18mg. He was trying to be helpful but entirely missed the point, I'm vaping 1mg/ml juice now.

No a friend has an 18650 flashlight that wont work unless the battery has a button top.

She's not talking width shes tslking the depth 45 mm. Some prople with smaller hands find it awkward.

Too wide? I don't think it could be any narrower, it is by far the smallest 18650 mod I have laid eyes on.

ETA-So after a moments thought, the teardrop shaped mods may be narrower at the narrow end.
Coolfire 4 for example is wider than a Pico on the battery end, but narrower on the display end.
