Tempted to pick one of these up, but I hate those plastic D/T's. Think I'll do it anyway.

Based upon this statement, I have one on order.

Thanks for the confidence, guys, and we do hope you like them. TT gets the credit if you do (but I should probably get them blame if you don't).

They're a bit tricky to wick, but once you get it once (maybe twice), it's a snap. For the vape is very much worth it (Tootler's dream!).

Opinions are (Taste is)... and all that-there. :2c:

I will not blame you or flame you, try to tame you ... got carried away there flashed back to Sonny and Cher. I have seen a similar deck design with the wick channels flowing from the coil base to the deck floor.

You could get an rba for it.....if you are glutton for punishment.

The wolf in sheep's clothing. The beast within is the VVTF RBA. Granted, It's not for the squeamish, but I've gotten it down to just a dozen or so cuss words, when rebuilding. Once I got used to the pain..oops, I mean the coil installation, I can now pre-bend the coil legs, so they line up with the holes pretty well. It does take a little practice.

The coils have been lasting a few months. The routine maint isn't any worse than the KFL+V2. Pull the old wick, dry burn & re-wick. I think the flavor is outstanding.

Mr Glutton for Punishment, at your service!

I'm gonna be 61 in a few months and my close up vision sucks.I got me a set of these and it works great...

Don't you just love that headset? I got in 1 in 1998, that was part of "a varied lot" of jewelry making tools and supplies a lady was selling when she closed her business. Mine came with the #7 magnifying lenses.

It sure does come in handy for doing coil work, doesn't it? By the way, Walmart sells a small, dirt cheap, clip-on LED light...that has 3 little lights in it. It clips on the top of the magnifying visor part of that headset, and it's just $.99. It comes in a variety of colors, too! They're sold in the flashlight section in Hardware.

I'm sure there are a few people here who could teach you to cuss like a sailor. From what I hear that's the primary prerequisite for building on those, so once you have that down pat you'l be able to change "I can't" to "Oh yes I can you %$@#$ #%$#%@# #%$$@#%# rebuildable my %$@#^$#$ %$#^##^ lousy stupid ##@%#$@ piece of %@%$# %$@%#^$ ";)

Have you got one of those credit card sized or bigger, advertising, stick-on-your-fridge magnets, that companies send you sometimes? Hold it flat and run it across the area of carpet where you dropped it, and it'll pick up that tiny screw.

2-3 years ago the Erlkonigin was one the most sought after high end RTAs around, way ahead of it's time... Optionally add the other one on FT to get the drip tip adapter (spare parts or replace orings for leak issues) and glass tanks if you want glass and think you will be very happy.

Yup I love mine (The pic I posted isn't the exact one I got but in essence the same thing).I got mine at a local hardware store for about 15 or so dollars. It has 2 sets of lenses that clip over top of each other and an added magnifying glass that swivels over top the left lens if needed. It sure has helped me with making sure the coils are evenly spaced, seeing how much gunk is on the coil when cleaning and on and on. It just works at seeing tiny things BIGGER.I'd definitely recommend it to those of us with old failing eyes.:)
