Man, Burnie, that is quite a grill! Nice find.

I have elderly, yet surprisingly robust kitchen appliances, but I actually like the older stuff-- easier for the husband to fix, kinda bombproof. I would not mind a new master bathroom, but that's gonna have to wait until after the smoke damage is totally fixed. We also desperately need a new roof.

Man, that cost of cigs chart was pretty impressive. I kind of never quite knew how much cigarettes were going up in price because we had an electronic injector, and cans of tobacco-- so many less taxes.... AZ is surprisingly high on that list, given the amount of reservations around that will sell to you for cheaper, but it's not shocking to me of late. So glad I don't have that cost anymore, and vaping (after initial investment, heh) is indeed so much cheaper. If I wasn't trying to pay off my implants, I would be very much in the green by now....

Saving for dental work is my priority now. I need 3 bone grafts, a crown and a filling. There's quite a bit of it that insurance isn't going to cover so I have to pay it up front.

Man, dental work is the worst! It's like outrageously expensive, insurance pays for about 15%, and you don't feel Oh-so-fabulous about doing it, like some stuff. I mean, it's good to *do* but basically it's like, "I'm fixing this part of me that I know needs to be functional but it's not at all gratifying."

The cost of 8 implants is going on $20 K now. And, my oral surgeon gave me rock bottom prices since he knew I didn't have insurance.... My mom helped with some, but man. To add insult to injury, now I have to visit a periodontist 4 times a year, for major deep cleanings, LOL. I can't say the implants aren't awesome, my top dentures almost feel like real teeth now, but had I known all this going in.... Well, my stupid jaw wasn't going to last forever....

Good luck, Rainsong, I hope all your dental work goes great!

I haven't run a savings calculator in some time, and between my wife and I, at about 6 1/2 years, we've saved over 20 grand on smokes while spending about $4000 on vaping. Most of our vape spending was in the first five years, with only a couple hundred since my ProVari binge in late 2015-early 2016.

Those savings were a huge factor in helping our son get through college debt free. Definitely a win-win!

My 2 PAD habit was costing me about $2600 a year when I quit back in 2010. That was with $36 cartons. Today that number is more equal to one pack a day.

That kind of cost buys a lot of vaping equipment and supplies. Once you accumulate your initial stash of hardware most of the cost is juice and coils or wire and wicking. Vaping is a money saver any way you look at it

The Surprising Cost of a Pack a Day in All 50 States

I break my costs down for vaping cost and stockpile cost. If I was still smoking it would be about $12.50 per day. I have a stockpile that should last the rest of this century. Just need a couple more liters of nic.

Hey! If I line up enough mods with low enough builds, it could function as a stove or space heater... just sayin'

Don't they get COLD? I mean, that looks like some sort of heating air-vent.

Plaid never did it for me, this may be one reason why....

Man, you're reminding me of this movie about a deaf or blind massage therapist who met his one true love (or something) but they had The Most Unprofessional Massage Therapy Scene of all time. My husband (who has never had a professional massage) turned to me and was like, "Is that what HAPPENS?" LOL. I explained that no, in my experience, it's usually you trying not to fart or something, or avoid whatever vegan smell is emanating from your massage therapist's mouth from lunch at times, and it's super not sexy....

I once had a student massage, and she was really, really new. She kept saying, "OMG, is this okay?" and pressing weird places, or tickling me, it kind of got worse and worse, until the point that I politely said, "I'm so sorry... This is not working for us.... I am going to have to ask you to stop."

I.felt.awful. I mean, I can't IMAGINE what that was like for someone, but she was literally so hesitant, and terrified, I knew it was just going to get worse. To make matters even more lame, they were all taking place in one room with curtains and a teacher.... I really, really hope that all the other students were like, "Oh, don't worry about HER, she's probably REPRESSED or something. She probably hasn't been hugged by another human in 15 years, she should try eating VEGAN..." etc. I *really* hope that. I ended up up front apologizing for my lack of massage, and the dude up front was like, (firmly) "Hey, you either learn from this kind of thing, or you decide massage is not for you." So, maybe she was a Known Offender, but you know, everyone had to give massages to each other before ending up in the clinic, I had massage student friends, and they were all naturally good at it!

I believe in your professionalism, Rainsong, and will apologize for going WAAAYYY off topic, which usually means it's time for yoga-- yep, pretty much. :) Later, all.

    What a cheeky fellow!

@stols001 I've been at this 10+ years now, I have no hesitation and I'm all business. I treat each client encounter as a sacred connection and do my best to give that person what they need in the time we have. I do have a sense of humor about it though! One of my favorite things is scars, they all have a story. When I was a smoker I went to great lengths to make sure I had no odor on me, didn't smoke before or during work. Now I pop outside for a vape in between sessions.
