Thanks BB...And I watched a vid on rolling a Scottish Wick yesterday !!!...All kinds'a new stuff to try...Trig :D
...And if my tank would hurry up and get here I'd have a crack at it

This method makes beautifully even spaced coils...I gave it a whirl a while back.My issue was that I didn't have a screw anywhere in this house with the diameter I liked my coils (2.4mm).I didn't really feel like going out to the hardware store to track one down soooo,I just use my homemade jig.I roll them fairly spaced and compress them a bit so it looks reasonably even and they work good enough for me. :)
I didn't just go to a hardware store. I went to Fastenal. She found me a screw that is three inches long. How much one screw can be handled and treasured so much.

That's the kind of device that you polish frequently and keep in a padded box in a safe place!

A word of caution about Scottish roll wicking: it soaks and holds a large volume of juice. I was fortunate in that I was vaping in TC mode and noticed the vapor getting weaker, when I looked, my tank was dry. I tested and I took somewhere around 5 or 6 good pulls before the vapor got weak. All that time the tank was empty.

Thanks...I was kind'a trying to run the Scottish Wick holding tons of juice through my head and thinking it might not be the best way for me to go...There was another post I read regarding whether to peel or not to peel the cotton...Their thought was that not peeling gave the wick a bit more structural integrity and longevity...They felt it didn't wick as quickly but that they were a Light Hitter and didn't ever have dry hit issues...Sounds like me...I don't think I ever take more than 3 or 4 hits off the same tank before I'm off to another flavor...They did mention still fluffing the tails...So I'll have several different methods to try...Still Waiting...Patiently...Tick-Tock...:)

To add another layer of fanciness, once you have the cotton pulled apart, add a layer of rayon then roll them together. Kind of a hybrid roll.
I mentioned a couple days ago that I had problems with a tank giving dry hits a day or 2 after rewicking. Adding the rayon fixed the problem. Switching to all rayon made it occasionally leak. I'm far too lazy to put that much effort into a routine wick and eventually just went to all rayon and put up with the leaks.
I'm probably going to have to build that tank now.

I use the japanese cotton facial pads as well.At first I didn't peel off the outer part, then I only peeled off one side, now I take them both off.I always fluffed up the ends.I can't say that one way or the other made much difference to me.For me getting the right amount of cotton in the coil is the key.

Burnie I know this will be a funny question on a vape forum but I'm a gardener…what's that plant?
Really no idea  It is growing on one of the oaks in the back yard. Just thought it would make a nice backdrop for a picture. Did a google search on the bloom and came up with "Anthurium", which does look close, but I really have no idea. Here is one with a flower and a carto and IBTanked tank.

Relative of the peace lily. Beautiful to see one in the wild.

Yay, I set up my Siren V2. I LOVE this tank, wicking was so easy. Decided to start out with one of the coils provided, and may I say that screw setup is FANTASTIC for someone who has a fine motor tremor, it's so much easier to trap the coil. Running it a 17 watts with three airholes open, and it has not leaked or seeped a drop! I got the gunmetal and I love the tank and how nicely it's designed. The vape is fantastic, too. :) I really actually had a great time setting this tank up, it's my new favorite, and now I wish I'd bought another of these instead of the Berserker, I just love the vape... So smooth and flavorful, but I loved the ease of setup, too. This will probably be the RTA that I run for a long time to come, I could even see bringing it out of the house (almost!)

Thanks For The Input !!!...Here's another one I heard...Leave the outer layers, cut a 4mm +- strip...Then split it down the middle length wise and fold it inside out...LOL...They mentioned the structural thing as well as being enhanced by the thicker/stiffer outer layers...I wonder how Anna wicked Her new toy ???...Hmmm :)

Rayon. The less wicking I can do, the better, frankly. I probably need more practice, but I have to say the Siren V2 is fantastic.... :)

Whew, I let myself get far behind. I’m going through vapemail withdrawals! I want to buy something so badly!
Well...I should probably keep my big enabling mouth shut...However...IMHO...Within some reasonable budgetary constraint of your choosing I think you should buy whatever your heart desires...And quick too !!! :):):)
