Toodle Dripper breakthrough! I've always wanted a dripper to test my mixes. Unfortunately, every dripper I've tried (maybe half a dozen) has been too 'potent' for me. The flavor intensity was always way beyond what I get with my KFL+V2's, Ego One's, Erl, etc. I tried various air, coils, wicks, power, but I just couldn't get an accurate sample of what I would get in my tanks. I gave up, and have just used my tanks to test my mixes.
Enter the Heatvape Kayfun Mini V2.1 clone. I wasn't familiar with the Mini V2, but they were less than $5, so I decided to toss a couple in the cart, with an order. I tried one out, in normal tank mode, and it was leak city. Filling was a hassle, via the spring loaded check valve. It was a mess. I put it in the failed box, and moved on. Maybe re-visit at a later date.
Doing some cleaning up this morning on the mixing / building bench, and found the instructions for the Mini V2, that I forgot to put back in the box. I decided to use the desk magnifying lamp (microscopic text) and really read it. (Instructions?.. hey, I'm a guy). I noticed 'Build for dripper'. You basically eliminate all the extra tank sections, the chamber, and chimney. All that's used is the base, one tank section and the top cap & drip tip. I decided to give it a go, since dripping would not include using the PITA check valve fill port.
Success! Look Ma! I'm drippin', I'm drippin'! The flavor & vape is virtually identical to my favorite tanks. I can't believe how perfect it's working for mix testing. Out of the failed box, and into the front row.
