Toodle Dripper breakthrough! I've always wanted a dripper to test my mixes. Unfortunately, every dripper I've tried (maybe half a dozen) has been too 'potent' for me. The flavor intensity was always way beyond what I get with my KFL+V2's, Ego One's, Erl, etc. I tried various air, coils, wicks, power, but I just couldn't get an accurate sample of what I would get in my tanks. I gave up, and have just used my tanks to test my mixes.

Enter the Heatvape Kayfun Mini V2.1 clone. I wasn't familiar with the Mini V2, but they were less than $5, so I decided to toss a couple in the cart, with an order. I tried one out, in normal tank mode, and it was leak city. Filling was a hassle, via the spring loaded check valve. It was a mess. I put it in the failed box, and moved on. Maybe re-visit at a later date.

Doing some cleaning up this morning on the mixing / building bench, and found the instructions for the Mini V2, that I forgot to put back in the box. I decided to use the desk magnifying lamp (microscopic text) and really read it. (Instructions?.. hey, I'm a guy). I noticed 'Build for dripper'. You basically eliminate all the extra tank sections, the chamber, and chimney. All that's used is the base, one tank section and the top cap & drip tip. I decided to give it a go, since dripping would not include using the PITA check valve fill port.

Success! Look Ma! I'm drippin', I'm drippin'! The flavor & vape is virtually identical to my favorite tanks. I can't believe how perfect it's working for mix testing. Out of the failed box, and into the front row.

I recently picked up 4 more of them at HG for $1 each!!

Ivogo also made a great "clone" of the 2.1 that was 17mm. In combo with the Taifun GS tank and you ended up with this gem, short and top fill made easy and not a single leak:

So, it still has the funky fill port, but it's not needed with the top fill? Nice!

I got 3 of them for $1 each from HG when I ordered last time. Haven't tried them yet, but am also adding a few to the order I'm placing today for some more Innokin CF IV mods that I love!

ETA: Well, scratch getting any more for $1. Now all 3 colors of them are showing "Stop Supply". Oh well...the 3 I have already is OK.

So here's one from kind'a out in left field on the subject of Re-Building Factory Drop-In Coils...???...I have a new RTA on the way (hurry up) yet I find the idea of re-building intriguing...In particular the T18/T22 Prism coils...As most of you know I'm a bit of a fan as they're quite robust, good flavor and they last a long time...Even with the Wall Paper Paste that I prefer to vape...Here's a review of the T18 where the guy basically dissects one of those coils...I am well aware that many TP'ers are very adept at fine work...Jewelry, Sewing, Watch Repair and the Joy of Tinkering in general...The "Dissection" in this vid is at time index 08:40...Ya' think I'm might be crazy ???
Endura T22 Coil Change - Bing video
One thing I do know for sure...Next dead one ain't go'in in the trash...It's go'in to Lab and be taken down to all it's constituent parts & pieces...Maybe my Lovely Assistant Vapesttra will be able to do something with it...:D

Just to return to the T22 coil. Here is there inside from screen shots of the video. Couldn't upload yesterday:

Wow, all that wicking makes me think of the old cartomisers. Always imagined what they'd be like with a good coil and wick.
I imagine a carto would be inferior to the t22, but I can send you a box to try. Maybe make some weird hybrid. :)

You can top fill the 14mm also.... Cover the air hole w finger, remove cap, fill, place cap back on and just catch the threads, turn upside down, remove finger and wait for liquid to drop down, tighten top cap rest of the way, wait 5 seconds and then flip tank right side up... Should be good to go.

You can top fill any vacuum type rta that does not have JFC in this manner.

Wow - looking at my vaping stat reminds me that I thought I'd be done with vaping by now -- at least that's what I told my hubby at the end of last year :laugh:

But I have been reducing the nic... went from 12 to 6 and even as low as 3 but went back up to 6... (and I don't plan to give up on my new toys!:p)
