I'm freaked, to say the least.

I'm OK, I'm in OC, but my house is full of smoke. And I don't know why--there must be another fire nearby?

How close are you, Kat? And those winds, howling devil winds... I hate Santa Anas.

I saw on the news tonight where one of the burned out houses was just sold. Can you imagine buying a house, and before you even start moving in, you got nothing. So bad for many, many folks, it's sickening just thinking about it.

And just before the holidays--folks are making travel plans, inviting family and friends. How awful for them. I can't even imagine...

Yes everyone, please stay safe. Also, living through a house fire can be done, although it is not pleasant or fun, but it's doable. So, if you need to go to a safer location, don't hesitate. Possessions can be replaced, and houses can be remediated, but people and pets cannot. And hopes and prayers for everyone who is in harm's way, or possible harms way.

A good friend of mine's mom lost her house yesterday to the fire. She lost everything. Her grandmother's house is in danger right now.

My friends Mom perished in the fires last Oct because she didn’t get out in time. Wind is so unpredictable, get out of town if you can!
