My friends Mom perished in the fires last Oct because she didn’t get out in time. Wind is so unpredictable, get out of town if you can!
Too close for my comfort zone. I sincerely hope you have booked your reservations for way out of town. Pls don't wait too long.

I keep watering the roofs. Everything important is in the cars. Just waiting it out. So far, if you get out of the neighborhood, you can't get back in so I'm here waiting.

I was really hoping that we wouldn’t see any more fires in CA this year. But we’re a tinder box here after years of drought and then lots of rain enabling huge vegetation growth. I’m far away from today’s fires but looking at the pictures is bringing back scary memories. (And my sister lives in So Cal). It’s been almost 2 months and only a handful of lots are starting to be cleaned. My friend who is a fire fighter said there’s a huge mess with the insurance companies not paying out and trying to blame PG&E for the Oct fires. So it can take years to start rebuilding.
As was offered to me during the Tubbs Fire, if anyone loses their belongings, I will gladly help replenish your vaping and/or nic supplies.
Hang in there and please stay out of harms way, if possible.

I'm not "good". We are safe right now, and I expect we will be, but I'm all a-flustered and just not myself. Forgive me for not posting much more, but I simply can't right now.
It was so dry here in British Columbia last summer they of course had a open fire ban with a several thousand dollar fine and they also added if you got a pic or vid of someone tossing a lit smoke .... out of their car the police followed up then issued a $500 ticket. The smoke came down our valley so bad that it looked like fog and being outside for a few minutes you could feel the stress on the lungs. We had a fire across the flats ontop the mountain that we could see the orange glow and some flames, that was about 10 miles away.....scarry stuff.
