I use chrome for email (gmail) only but my current browser is the Edge, which I was kinda "meh" about but it works best for adblocking for me. I've never had a single issue with my alerts (which are all turned off except for PMs.)

Since it is mostly a few threads that you follow, maybe just checking once a day or something might work?

OH, and I have my first injury,. It's not yoga related (I don't think) but it is preventing me from doing yoga and now I wish I knew Qi Gong because I really want to fix it. LOL.

Even on my phone using chrome for emails, I get them (PMs only which is how I set it up). They shouldn't be in a "trash" or "social" folder unless you accidentally put them there... But with Gmail, that usually takes some effort/action.

I don't know how well Chrome holds up under the new version of the forum though, that's not what I browse with.

OK. I would look for folders named "Social" or "Forums" and "Trash" to see if the notifications are there. I would also look at the "Gmail" app on your phone and check the "Settings" tab for "Notifications." There may be a setting in notifications that is either off or set to only notify you for "Important" emails.
looked there no alerts at all. Don't have other email problems

iStick 20s? I have 2 20s and 3 30s.The 20s were PIFed to me by another wonderful ECFer when my originals started dieing (after 3 years of excellent service). They sure came in handy when I was in the hospital! Great for stealth vaping and easy to hide when the nurses came in. I love them for out and about. Just beware - the 20s are notorious for having soft 510 connections that go wonky fast. I use the ego adapters and only ego threaded toppers on my 20s. The 30s are good all around.

On my Windows-7...I used FF and just kept the threads I followed open on tabs in FF...

When I moved over to a Windows-10 laptop...I am using Edge...and by chance ran across https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/watched/threads/all ...much easier to use...

When admitted to my local "We Confiscate All E-Cigarettes" hospital...I take along 4-5 Flings (which are equivalent to 8-10 packs of analogs)...

Small (about the size of a cigarette)...easily hidden in a gown pocket or the top of the socks they give you...no need to worry about filling or charging...and if they DO confiscate it...I'd only be out $4--$5...

between here and there
Alive and well. just busy as a one armed paper hanger.

I still want to meet for coffee but got way too much on my plate right now.
getting boxes of belongings from storage to my apt via the SunTan bus takes a lot of trips and time. Hopefully be done in 3-4 more days. then a few pieces of furniture cross town will have to hire someone with van or truck.
I thought you liked being high in the mountains away from all the noise. So went back to Tucson? Sry if I am being nosy, just ignore.

:)

I have CCleaner and go into the browser plugins and disabled just about all except the few addons I use. The new firefox 57 really sucked for being slow to bring up pages in a lot of places but now its quite fast with the plugins disabled. I did like chrome for some activities but loosing all the addons and stuff you install cleaning out the cooties with CCleaner. I just have a plain jane chrome and now rarely use it. Having 2 monitors it sometimes nice to be able to have Firefox on one and chrome on the 2nd for certain activities one does.
I just right click "open in new tab" to look at multiple pages like in here without having to go back all the time.

I bought a pile of those heat sink adapters from FT and they work great for saving the threads in many of my hitters that with a nice build can consume a subtank atty full very quickly so I'm refilling several times a day some days.

I don't like the notifications, just too darn many of them a day in my email to delete, but then I'm here off and on all day long anyway, so don't need em. I suppose if one has a life tho, and can't be here all the time, they could be handy. LOL!

I just check in at Watched Threads, and go from there.

That's what I should do. Unless there is another solution that would not add that much height.

You can still find the iStick Bending Adapters... that'll do the trick.

Eleaf iStick Bending Adapter V1

Personally, I prefer the heat sinks...

Bea, I used the bottom half of an old Airflow controller. Pretty low and doubles as a drip well :).

Nice to know you are OK TwoBears, although I'm sorry you aren't getting your alerts. Big server thing happening on Friday, hopefully that will remedy the problem (I am being optimistic).
