My first wife's b'day was Dec. 25. Was generally a downer for her, as it wasn't her "special day." Yes, I DID always wrap most of her gifts in b'day paper!

I’d be okay with aging if stuff would stop creaking, crackling or generally malfunctioning. It’s quite irritating . Mom says it’s just God’s way of making us slow down and enjoy life for a change. I get that, but I’d enjoy it more if it didn’t take a “warmup” just to get moving in the morning

So is my mom in laws! Mine unfortunately falls right before it’s time to mail in our “donation” to the IRS . My brother’s is January 3rd. He’s always said his birthday presents are the stuff people returned after Christmas.

But what if your belief system is wrong and you end up someplace horrific and know it? This stuff is tricky.

It’s sort of like getting a present from your 96 year old Aunt Agnes.... you won’t know what’s inside until it’s time to open it. My personal beliefs indicate it’s going to be awesome .

I’d rather focus on enjoying my life, than worrying about what might come after it’s over. It’s not going to change what I find when I get there.

The same could be applied to vaping. Current studies say it’s 95% (or thereabouts) safer than smoking. What if they find out in 20 years it’s 100 times more dangerous?

I’m not far behind you . Unless someone creates a time machine, we’re not going to know what the future holds. I seriously doubt we’ll see that in our lifetime.

Although, I wouldn’t mind a mini time machine that could tell me if the vape stuff I’m buying now is going to be on clearance in a couple weeks. That drives me crazy. I guess I just outed myself as impatient and cheap
