Well after over a year, we are finally going on a VACATION tomorrow. :w00t:
Going fishing in Everglades City Florida...
Weather looks good, few afternoon showers, but that's Florida.
Looking forward to getting away for a few days...

Nice view!

I lived in a subdivision that surrounded a 200 acre lake for about 15 years. Lakefront living was really nice. I fished, water skied from my own dock, and enjoyed the view. The down side was a walk up and down a 30 degree slope to and from the lake. We sold after 20 years and bought a 2.5 acre lot with a nice sized creek in a subdivision just outside town and built our dream home. Now, we watch the Deer, Crows, and Red Foxes as they come by and feed.

I enjoy lakes. So did the toddler. Visiting the lake with paddle boats and whatnot was like on of our regular activities. We attempted to fish. I am not good at fishing. I did catch a CRAB once. It went for my bait and like, one of its pincher things got wrapped around my uh, hook somehow.

Reeling it in was vaguely terrifying, I hate those things. My dad used to take us crabbing when we were kids. I just don't trust things that SCUTTLE SIDEWAYS.

It did taste good and well, if the dude accepts our offer, we will be living in walking distance of one, which is pleasant. I think.

I feel less anxious right now. I bet tonight I will feel way more anxious but I am going to have to deal. I guess.

I grew up next to a lake. I fished almost every weekend. When I lived in Southern Maryland I crabbed just about every day. There's plenty of places here in WV to fish, but I haven't done so much. I haven't crabbed in close to twenty years since moving. I miss it and the taste. My roommate pointed out some crab crap at a local supermarket here, I don't think she understood why I started laughing.. I won't even eat crab from a restaurant. There is nothing like crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay, seasoning them (w/ Old Bay of course), steaming them and then eating them.

I imagine so! Reminds me of one of my trips to the Phoenix area, and my bro wanted to take me out to his favorite salmon place. Uh, being from the Pacific Northwest, I politely declined, and was able to stifle my laughter!

Okay, I am bathing and going to the dollar store. Getting it out the way. I really am tired.

    Oh well, Thanksgiving week!

Me and the husband drank bottles of small sized non alcoholic sparkling apple cider before leaving AZ. I keep mine in my glove compartment and look at it when I need to.

    I think I need to.
    LOL
