Rainy day retirement boredom. Decided to pull an Erlk Mini clone (Tobecco) out of the stash and give it a run. It's been out of the rotation for a couple of years.

Using Qorax's famous two cut system:

Filled it with my version of Goofy's juice. What a wonderful vape. Not sure how it fell out of the rotation here, but it's back!

Some juices are immortal. I still have some bottles of Vape Dudes Buttery Nipple. It has to be over 3 years since it was in the rotation. I tried it the other day. Tasted as good as ever.

My taste buds have yet to identify an atty that pleases them as much as an Erl. I can't remember the last time I didn't have (at least) one in rotation.

Just make sure that top cap is closed down TIGHT.

My mutated version of Goofy's Juice is a recent experiment. It was my first time mixing it. It wasn't knocking my socks off in my other tanks. As we all know, we can get different taste results on different tanks, so I thought I'd give the GJ a shot in the ErlK. It was much better than the other tanks.

For me, vaping & mixing is a continuing experiment, which I enjoy. ADV's sound boring.

    Totally!

Once I started following Qorax's tips in his video, it's been fine. Early on, the ErlK was like a toddler. Never knew when it was going to wet the bed.

It took me a minute too, before I realized what caused it. These days it's extremely rare for that to happen (less than once per year), and ALWAYS because I wasn't paying attention post-filling.

Love to the Erl, and to Q's methodology. I've long practiced that exact same wicking approach, thanks solely to his ingenuity.

Still use a Provari too.:thumbs:

Who needs watts when ya got volts.

Two Provari still in rotation here, along with my SnP tanks, and Sophia rebuildable cartos... Sure, I have a boat-load of more current gear, but still quite enjoy the 'ancient' vape tech... ;) :)

EDIT: For those not familiar with the Sophia, and are curious, here's my post from a long time ago, in a place far away..... (2013):

I still think the Sophia's produce wonderful flavor, perhaps better than most other new devices out here.
But, I got tired of coiling/wicking them.
Now, what to do with them?
Just as with my Greek mechs, too good to keep in the closet. But, how to move them on.
Haven't seen much in the classies last time I looked

Personally, I don't mind the maintenance. It's just something I've become used to. I use a wire-welder for my Sophia V1, which admittedly can be a PITA at times, but the V2 is much easier since it eliminates that process.

I also still have Greek (and other) tube mechs, and use them on occasion. I don't foresee myself parting with them since they represent the 'golden age of vaping' to me, and are finely crafted pieces of functional vape-art. Lot's of great memories for certain...

As for what to do with older quality gear if not used or needed? Good question that I really don't have an answer for, since it appears that there seems to be a general lack of interest these days, and I've observed very low prices when sold on various forum classifieds compared to the original costs. I've managed to avoid social media platforms for many years, but from what I gather, there are still active groups out there that one can fetch a fair price for 'ancient' quality gear....
