I was thinking maybe the Faris since it has the capability to run either way. It runs as a rta or a rta. Plus option to squonk or not. Hopefully mine will get here like yesterday! :)
You're missing the D... It runs as an RDTA or RDA... Not RTA wherein the chamber and coils are enclosed by the tank.

You're exactly right. I was missing the D. Guess it's been one of those weeks. Grr. My bad. ...;-)

Saw DJL'S review on the Elevate. Top air channeled to enter bottom and side. Not too sure on this on. I'll wait on more feedback here before deciding. Besides, it's not like I don't have a decent supply of top air RTAs already. ;)
I'm going to try it. Since the Nanos won't survive me I'm exploring other options. Couple more jk minis are getting added to the family but they are pricy so hopefully the elevate can fit the bill as well.

Background: I was a very early adopter of Mesh atomizers. I bought the Cthulhu Veto and the Taifun BT, and the Mesh RDA. Didn't really like any of them, and they went on the shelf to gather dust. Then, the Profile arrives, and I felt compelled to try it. I liked it, and I felt I learned a thing or two... After some success with the Profile RDA, I went back to the Taifun BT and had some success. I cleaned and up the Ceto... Again, decent. So, I bought the Themis Mesh.

Early report: It's terrible! I've built it twice and wicked it 4 times, and I can't get away from dry hits. Ugh. I suppose part of it is my style of vaping... I like long, slightly restrictive direct lung hit. I also tend to chain vape a bit. If I were taking short, hard pulls and resting between vapes, it might be fine.

I'm not giving up... I'll try a few more builds and wicking methods.

And, if it just refuses to work with mesh, that's OK. It'll make a dandy large single coil RTA.

A couple more days with the Themis Mesh, and it's now working as I would expect it to. In researching this, I discovered that mesh sucks for TC, that Kanthal Mesh is better in wattage mode (I still have some Ni80 mesh to try before the write up), and that the VandyVape Mesh RTA is also top air... in the cart.

So, to update what I thought was gonna be a rather simple side-by-side comparison of a handful of atomizers...

Ordered the Elevate today. I'm liking that deck style quite a bit.

Now that I'm squoking part time it's tough to justify another top air RTA right now. Maybe a few more RDAs for squonking, but I'm full up on top air stuff that's all working well that I have to put that on hold for now. The Elevate does look pretty nice. The bottom and side air holes on the deck should work well. I haven't really seen much on it with reviews, so I'm going by the basics in saying that.

Yeah, I've mostly squonked for a year now. Like you said, hard to justify buying other gear, but for some reason, I still end up buying new RTAs and RDTAs that pique my interest. Most of them are still in the boxes, but I'll have them someday to try when I take a break from squonking.

Likewise, picked up the Elevate, the Faris, and even a bunch of squonk attys I haven't tried yet. With possible regulations, and the fact that vape gear goes out of date so quickly these days, I buy stuff that I want to try, even if not right away.

I'll get to it at some point. I like the original Serpent SMM RTA, other than the airflow condensation. The Elevate looks like it could be a winner to me.

Got my elevate today, might build it tomorrow.

Would be interested to hear your feedback. Maybe over the Christmas holiday I'll throw a build in one of mine.

If I like it enough, I'll buy a few more of them once the price drops a bit. I've got a large number of Zeus single/double, Engine Nanos, Intakes, Solomon 2's, etc. I have a bunch of non-squonk mods to keep happy with toppers one of these days.

Honestly, I'm done stocking up :)rolleyes:), have been for a while. I just need some 'new' gear every once in a while. Lol.

At least I don't have 10 packages/week coming any longer. These days, maybe order something every few weeks when something new comes out that looks interesting.

Oh wait, I haven't bought spare DNA boards/screens yet, haha.
