Isn't that a drop in coil subohm tank or did I miss it? The stuff has been on the top air RTAs. I don't think Shawn was looking that much at subohm factory coil tanks unless it was about their RBA option. I know there are a few subohm top air tanks but I've never used them. How does that vandy vape mesh perform (and if it's an RTA my apologies for stupid Saturday morning posts without a proper caffeine load)?

Some of these top air designs get really weird creative at rechanneling the airflow path that even in a cutaway view if the slice shown isn't quite clear on the path it looks like magic.
That's the best explanation I've heard yet! Magic I can understand. My dad was a part time magician (no really). He gave me some of his vintage trick props from the 1930s and taught me how to use them. But there was one trick he wouldn't reveal to me; the one where you take a lit cigarette and burn a hole through your white hanky (you see the burn hole) and then presto! He opens the hanky and there's no hole. He took that one to the grave.

No subohm and I haven't had my coffee either, no problem. I haven't built mine yet but Shawn said he liked his. Here's some pix....

Wow! That's one I've never seen before. So the air comes from the top to hit the mesh from the side? How does it vape? Also how does it wick? That's a pretty tall wick to suck up juice all the way from the bottom to the top.

Of the single coil RTAs, I think I like the Solomon 2 best, but I have yet to recieve the Juggerknot Mini.

Of the dual coil RTAs, I think I prefer the Zeus Dual, but the Themis standard and Rimfire are close.

Honestly, it's easier to say which I don't like... The TFMT is basically garbage. Not a huge fan of either mesh RTA. There's spitback issues with the Engines (not so much the V2, but the deck is a PITA).

I could go on...
You might consider a Dead Rabbit RTA from Hellvape. I'm very new to "building" and as far as I can tell this tank provides better flavor than anything I've ever used! (Though that is not saying a lot, I'm mostly a subohm tank guy.) I'm using twin 0.36 ohm tiger coils from a brand called "Pirate", and a generic cotton. Yet you could never convince me to sell or trade this tank!

"Word Origin for Juggernaut. 1630s, "huge wagon bearing an image of the god Krishna," especially that at the town of Puri, drawn annually in procession in which (apocryphally) devotees allowed themselves to be crushed under its wheels in sacrifice."

.....and we are the devotees being crushed under the wheels of the Vape god. How many of these top air tanks have you bought, so far? I really want the Solomon V3 and the Juggerknot Mini.

Since you're very good with the cutaway drawings......

You'll have to ask @Shawn Hoefer I haven't built mine yet but I enjoy the Themis Mesh (whether with mesh or wire). Mesh can be finicky if you don't wick it tight and even enough. And a mesh dry hit is something to be feared. But when it's right......oo la la. Imho.

If your cotton is light and fluffy and you pull the mesh in tight (like tightening up your belt, in this case), it will wick. There's plenty JF. With mesh, I have at times when I get suspicious of a dry hit, dripped from the top right through the DT. But that's just me being scared.

Whats an RTA that looks good on a red and black aegis legend? The red Zeus Dual looks like a different red in the pictures.

It’s not top air, and it’s not an exact match (although it’s pretty darn close), and it’s got a pretty limited capacity but the Gear looks great on it.

This is how I normally carry it (Serpent Elevate), like @Shawn Hoefer said, all black is a great option (and it is top air ;) )

That one has already been reviewed way back in this thread. Good RTA... Not the best, though...

I was looking at the Radar Mage. The designs sucked me right in. How's the board?
The only problem I've come across thus far with my Rader Mage is the fire button sticking. Everything else is all you can ask for from a mod. The button sticking is very rare though!

Looks to he another dual chamber setup with airflow coming down the space between the inner and outer chambers then directed up at an angle rather than just from the side. Interesting design. I sorta avoid mesh out of fear of those mesh dry hits. I'm typically a TC vaper, but with the current path in mesh if even a small area isn't in proper contact with the wick that can still give you a nasty hit I'm not sure if TC would bail me out.

I taught @muth the belt method of wicking she mentioned. It ensures that the mesh is in contact throughout. Only works on verticals, however... The VV Mesh, the Taifun BT, and the Cthulhu Ceto. I also found that rayon seems to work a bit better as it doesn't swell and shrink when wet.
