Struck a nerve? Why? You clearly said "Different strokes" but you also said "maybe"....meaning you were open to its reasoning. Sorry that's not the case. If you're not using it as intended you are either cleaning up more juice than you need to or leaving it. Guess you're leaving it, but hey, you don't have to clean up after yourself if you don't want to and you can wipe more juice off on your clothes or a tissue/paper towel whatever if you want to. I'm not sure I understand, do you mean the popularity of the mod it's self or sticking the cap on the battery door?
First and only time I did the - stick the cap to the bottom- the cap got bumped off by my pinkie, fell about 5 feet onto tile and rolled behind the bookcase. When I retrieved it, thankfully it wasn't damaged but covered in dog hair. Now it gets flipped over and set on the table while filling. Then I grab it off the table, all nice and dog hair free and pop it back where it goes- no cleanup required. even when I had to to the old school, multi step, tiresome crazy process of grabbing a paper towel and unscrewing a bottle cap to fill, I never had anything end up on the floor.
I was thinking about drilling a 3/4" hole in my desk so I can attach the cap to the battery door and still set it on my desk to fill.

With it on press and hold the fire and up button, when wattage starts flashing it can be adjusted with the up and down buttons.
I've never seen someone so defensive about a sub par magnet. This is hilarious....
I'm glad the mod is getting overall good reviews and most folks seem pretty happy with it. It's not a mod I have any interest in, but I like Brian and I know he put a lot into the topside. I really thought it was going to be a nightmare. I'm glad I was wrong.

The magnets have nothing to do with piss poor attitudes. Don't say 'maybe' then turn to a staunch critic and behave rudely. Use of the word fluff should have alerted me to the weak mind. Hey, if old dogs wanna be old dogs, I get it, I'm that way sometimes, it's our choice - just own it. If you're clumsy, own it and say so, don't claim a feature is fluff because you can't handle it and have dog hair everywhere. It's your problem not the device. Grow up a little and get over yourselves. If the magnet was sub par it would have demonstrated so. It has not.

One might say that all this magnet talk is polarizing sentiments regarding the Topside. I imagine some are now attracted to the mod, while others are repelled...
Those repelled need to grow a pair and stop being politically correct. Does Cruise Control polarize? Get a grip! Some people don't use it and consider fluff. The immature can't control themselves, keep it to themselves, and say so, not respecting the innovation and usefulness of the feature and that some may love it. Where's the mic drop emoji? Some are attracted enough by the feature to buy the mod, myself and a co-worker included. Bad attitudes not needed. Criticizing a mod for a useful feature.....what's a matter with you people? People were quick to post the video showing the feature.....what happened? A few people don't don't like it because they're incapable of using it or change? Pitiful. The internet is full of negative attitude. Get a life and find something to do with yourselves.

Wow. I attempted to interject some pun-ishment humor, but it seems nothing will stand in the way of the Magnet Crusade. Who knows -- it could be the start of a movement. I think I'll print up some MAMA hats (Make America Magnetic Again) to see if I can capitalize on the groundswell.
Both my Topsides are performing just fine, no problems at all.
