On my first Topside I too noticed excessive juice between the base of the atty and top of the 510, had juice on the battery too. I thought it must have leaked from the top of the 510 but after placing an o-ring on the atty's 510 the leak on top stopped. Still have a pretty good leak on the 510 from the inside. I'm too lazy to box it up and send it off, probably fix it myself one of these days....or break it trying.
If you remove the bottle you can get a glimpse of the tube that carries the juice to the 510, that's the place that the juice is coming out of, a little bit around the battery positive contact.

I overfilled one of my Topsides once and the outside of the bottle was soaked and so was the battery bay. The board never seemed to get wet I don't think. Also when I first got my Topsides, I played around by taking the bottle in and out. But what I didn't understand at the time was juice would drip from the tube connection to the bottle. And that will get a lot of juice in the bottle bay too and might also get over to the battery bay. Since those two mistakes and I knocked it off, they have stayed bone dry. YMMV :)

Sorry for all the questions on the last post, but really hyped to get mine, another question was if anyone knows of any BF RTa's that match the colors Not a real big deal breaker but nice to know, I quess silver or black would be fine, But me being ocd about color matches curios, if anybody has perfect matches on colors that would be nice to see. Thanks, just totally anticipating mine and I will be stalking the Mail man Monday.

My Blue Topside runs a blue Digiflavor Mesh Pro RDA that matches it quite well.

And my Gunmetal and Silver Topsides also run Digiflavor Mesh Pro RDA's that are both very close match's to those as well. The downside is I bought my 5 DMP's when they first came out about a year ago (2 black, 1 gunmetal, 1 blue, 1 silver), so they are very scarce these days and the clones of them do not have squonk pins (they are drippers only).

This will tag @The.Drifter to chime in maybe who has a blue Wotofo Profile Mesh RDA on a blue Topside. I saved a picture of it so hope my reposting it here is OK.

The blue on the Profile is quite darker than the blue on the Topside. I still haven't found a blue that matches the Topside yet so I've just been running a black Profile with a blue drip tip to tie it all together.

If you have one the blue c4 is about the closest I have. Nudge is off but I can live with it.
Got a black profile on my blue also.

I have a Coil Art D-pro, and a Geekvape Peerless in blue, But I still have no Topside to match them with it, It seemed to stop in 4 different towns in Wisconsin, before hitting Chicago this Afternoon, Must have wanted to see the Packers come home Defeated.

Got it today, Coil-Art D-Pro sitting on it, slightly darker a with a little less shine, I will take it! Seems like it hits like the 300$ Boxer .33 ohm coil at 65 watts. Although better built. also much heavier, than i was used to with the Pulse 80 but so far worth the price of admission, Magnet holding, Nah, not mine so much, but it came with a blue cable. I will give a good run and try to find to find its faults, as of now its going to be the one, hard to say even over the DNA sqounkers I own, This is a heavy hitter. Leaks are a concern but so far pretty dry. Love it.! so far the worst thing is it is heavier and bit more slippery than I am used to.

I flashed my silver Topside from TC 1.0.0 to TC 1.0.1, this is the one that flashed no problem before. It was a bit iffy this time.
I have no idea what the difference between the versions are though, maybe I'll figure it out.
I was going to check out the VV but thought I'd go with the TC first to see how it goes, chickened out on the VV, perhaps I couldn't get it back to TC.

In constant use day and night for well over 2 months and counting none of my Topsides have ever leaked a single drop.

Compared to my DNA75 Athena Pride the Topsides are featherweights. I have taken Topsides when out and about in the wee hours of the night in a VapeSox, but the Pride is a boat anchor that always stays anchored on the computer desk. But don't even bump it a little... by design it is way too easy to tip over with the resulting loud thud.

For those with update issues after 1.0.1:

Dovpo recently put this line in their instructions:

"Once you have v1.0.1 version firmware, you don't have to remove the battery if you need to flash an alternative firmware to your device."

That fixed it for me.

On a side note, does anyone know if you can run the TC in C mode as opposed to F?

Now that some of you have had your Topsides for a couple months now. Have you noticed a funny taste from your vape? I don't know if it is from the Topside or not, but I am getting a strange taste that is really noticeable on exhale with my Vapefly Galaxies MTL RDTA. The inhale is off too, but not as noticeable. I rebuilt the RDTA yesterday and no change in the taste. I am not sure, but I think the weird taste is coming from the squonk bottle.

I still have 4 Topsides. Number 3 and 4 were pulled out of the box and updated to the first TC firmware and vaped with a tank to test them. And I noticed the magnetics on the door were installed reversed. I never put juice in the squonk bottles or anything and I put them back in the box and that is it.

I do use my Topsides 1 and 2. I use the 1st one far more. And the first one is filled with my ADV juice so I use that one all of the time. The magnetic on the doors of 1 and 2 are installed correctly. Besides the weird taste thing started happening, that may not have anything to do with the Topsides, I have no complaints with my 1st and 2nd ones at all.

With the first firmware for the TC, absolutely. And it still should be there with TC v1.0.1 too.

How do I get to it then? It doesn’t round robin from Fahrenheit to Celcius, and I can’t seem to find this anywhere.

As for your flavor issues, I had the same, but I rinsed out the bottles in rather warm water and the flavor went back to ‘as it should’. It might be some juice interaction if it occurred to you suddenly, not all juices are friendly with silicone I assume. :)

Run temp up to max, let off button, hit button again. Will be in C

I thought the first TC firmware was also called v1.0.1. So I thought they were the same. So I decided to do a file compare. Gee I used to know how to do this. I couldn't find anything installed on this machine to give me a checksum of the 2 files. Wait... I think I remembered how to do this with MS-DOS. Here let me check.

fc "Topside Update(TC).exe" "Topside Update(TC) V1.0.1.exe"

OMG! Are there big differences between the 2 files. Looks to be a lot more than just shifting a bit in memory.

I can't get it to update. Tried atomizer off and battery removed and holding both -/+ in.
Tried battery in and atomizer off and holding -/+ in.
Tried again with mod power off and holding -/+ in.

Nothing, but it is stuck on TC 1.0.0 and that is ok with me. Oh if you power off and hold in -/+ for like 3 seconds, it reports the version number. But doesn't say VW, TC, or VV versions. But you know this when you look at the display. ;)

If I were to guess at the difference between the firmware versions I'd say probably mod resistance.
When I get home from work I'll compare readings between my two Topsides....not really all that meaningful perhaps though.
At work with my laptop I couldn't get it to flash again, got the connect/disconnect sound a couple of times but didn't connect long enough for the start button to highlight. I'm thinking the board might be retaining some residual power keeping it from wanting to flash, perhaps leaving the battery out overnight would have an effect on getting it liking the process.

That must be it. Because my third and fourth ones just sits in their boxes (without batteries) I just grabbed and they updated to TC 1.0.1 flawlessly.
