I give the Tornado/Ego an A+ Here is why....My setup is:

Totally Wicked Tornado - Stock Atomizer - Stock Cart (Blue Foam with Straw Support)
Juice: Dekang RY4 (11mg) PG

Fully charged battery lasted 18 hours...Yes 18 hours of moderate to heavy vaping all day. What I think will really tell you more than the 18 hours is how much juice I vaped on a single battery. The answer is approximately 6.5 ml. Waste practically nil except what coated the tweezers removing blue foam dart when refilling. To use only 1 battery from 5:00 am - 11:15 pm is truly amazing. Not a single battery change in a full day. As everyone has stated last draw of battery is identical as the first draw of a fresh battery.

Vapor Production is plentiful. And I did not find myself double drawing a single time...I actually found myself backing off on the total seconds I dragged...With the Mega batteries it was normal to draw until I could not draw any more on most drags...Not with the Ego....This was a pleasant surprise I wasn't expecting.

Flavor seemed to be slightly improved on the Tornado vs. Stock 510...If I had to give an improvement measurement I would say flavor was 10-15% higher....if that makes sense.

The Cone...Definately makes a difference....And I quickly found that I prefer it ON...Gives just the right amount of friction on the draws in my opinion....The non cone draws were to easy to me...felt like I was sucking the air out of a pillow case....The cone also made it where the unit never changed temperture...Stock 510 atty would always get toasty...exspecially when battery was in last 25% of life...The Tornado stayed ambient temp all day and during chain vaping.

The Dead to Full Charge using a STANDARD charger with provided adapter took 3 hrs. 40 minutes.

The set came with 10 prefilled carts and are a nice little bonus for some free smoke and added cart spares and the carry along case is nice although I have not used it.

The Tornado/Ego is a Class A unit that is quite impressive in my opinion.

I'm new to the whole seen, started vaping yesterday afternoon.

I read the reviews, and the tornado is my first PV, so can't compare it to much.

I was very impressed with the purchase from Totally Wicked, ordered it on Wednesday, I was vaping by Friday afternoon. The only downside currently, is one of the attys was dead (from what I can tell).

Charged a battery in about 2 hours, lasted me from 5pm till 3am, then a couple hours this morning.

Having heard about all the work that had to go into vaping with other models, this seems too easy. I screwed in the atty, screwed on the cone, popped in a cart and first hit was a huge surprise. Of course I didn't pay attention to the cart I used, and used a very low nic version, not good for coming off analogs.

I've been refilling the cart as I go with the KaMel liquid I ordered with my purchase, and couldn't be happier right now. It's taking a bit of getting used to, not going out for a cig, and a bit of a different flavor profile, but so far, it's getting me through the day.

Based on what I've ready about other PVs, this one seems almost too easy, and the purchase was too easy too.

I quit analogs July 2009...

Started with Joye 306 (still the best Ecig for flavor on the market in my opinion.) down side 40 minute battery life...a cart that help 4 drops...and could only get 2 drops to vape out of it....2 months later...

I go with a 510...same crummy batteries so 40 minute battery life...but carts hold 13 drops and can get 8 out of it with blue foam...nice vapor on the 510 but flavor takes a backseat to the 306...started using Mega batteries with 2 hour battery life around December 2009...6 months later...

I go with the Tornado...Which was this week....I have used 4 fully charged batteries so far...18 hours best so far and 15 hours on a full charge worst so far...awesome battery life with the Tornado.

How pocket friendly is it -- can you keep this PV in a pocket of your jeans without having the button going off?

I cut the tip end off a "marks-a-lot" magic marker and keep my Tornado in it in my back pocket at work. It fits in there nicely. It can fall out but how often do you hang upside down? lol

I've had my Tornado batts for about two weeks. I got the five pack batts and adapters from TW -beware they don't honor DOAs on the well documented sticking button problem on multipacks which sux. I have one that has the problem so I keep a close eye on it. I think it's happening less and less and may well go away over time I hope.

I get twelve hours consistantly from three I use. I sold two of them to my office vapecruit and his GF but they haven't timed them. It takes five hours to recharge off a 510 wall charger.

I have since sold my 510 kit and ordered the Geo from Dietsmokes. I'm looking forward to having the fast USB charger.

It's a great kit and I'd highly recommend it.

:)

Bageone,
My batteries had pretty close to a full charge when they arrived. The 1st one lasted 8 hours, the second was 10 hours. If you want to charge it before using it, just wait until the light turns green. I haven't used the 510 charger on mine as I also ordered the usb quick charger with my kit so I don't know how long it would take.

So if I own a 510 I can buy the ego battery and the cone to try it before I buy the kit?? What do I need to buy to charge it?

You could also get one of these so you have another charger instead of paying the same price for an "adapter". They are under $4. I can confirm they work with the tornado/ego just the way they are.

Little no frills charger

A complete USB charger for just a little bit more than an adapter. Tres Kewl.

I haven't actually drained one dead yet.... I think I'll drain this one :)

The vapor IS different.... warmer? fuller tasting? What is it?

I love the draw... feels awesome :D I'm a happy camper...errr vaper :)

Wow! I just got mine at 2pm today and fresh out of the box with no charge, been vaping constantly since with no drop in vapor at all. Are those batts very old? I will have a better idea of avg usage time once I've had this thing a little longer, but I'd return mine if they drop to only 2 hrs of vape time. JMO
