So I went to their store last week to buy the so called Low Resistance atty's which was supposed to be 1.5ohms, I bought 4 of them in fact because I was going for my vacation and I normally blow atty's after 3 days. I was surprised that it took a lot of punishment and still worked, I am a chain vaper and I usually go thru 5ml a day and thats on a busy day imagine how many more I could use up doing a 7 hour drive. During my whole vacation and until I got home I only used 1 atty of the 4 that I bought I am amazed that it lasted that long.

When I got home I have missed HV vaping for an entire week and decided to try HV vaping again to my surprise I was getting more vapor on HV than the LR then it hit me I never did a vapor production comparison between the HV and the LR attys.

So finally I did a vapor production test and it was then that my first LR gave out no worries I have 3 more, but I had the same results my HV atty are producing way more vapors than TW LR ones. So finally I whip out my multimeter and tested for ohms. Guess what the LR attys weren't LR attys at all, I thought maybe its just one bad one so I took out the other 2 and sure enough they were 2.8, 2.9 and 3.1 ohms.

What a let down all that time I thought I was using 1.5 ohm attys when they were in fact just regular atty's. I could have just taken my multimeter with me when I drove 50 miles to their store. I could have tested their atty's when I got home and just sent them all back b4 my 24 hour return window expired. I could have just ignored all the whoohha about the Totally Wicked Low Resistance atty reviews I have read here in ECF. I could have just been a little skeptical when I tested them at the store.

But no, when I got to their store I tested it with the silver bullet and I thought the reason for that low vapor production was because of the SB being so dense that it had a natural resistor. Maybe its because I wanted it so much to work that I just ignored all the stuff that I normally do when I first get new attys.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda I know I have only myself to blame for being blinded by the hype, I am happy in a way that since the introduction of these Totally Wicked Low Resistance atty no one has complained yet, well til now anyway. Maybe it was just a bad batch that I just happen to have the misfortune of getting. Well I guess thats better than the alternative reason that I have in mind.

Now I'm stuck with 3 regular attys which I don't really need, maybe I'll just donate them in the pay it forward thread. This is my first dealings with TW I read such great things about them and their LR's are cheaper than the other company thats carrying them but I guess tis true that you get what you paid for.

I hope no one else will have the same experience as mine and for the future buyers of attys here is something to think about, before you use any atty test them first with an adequate digital multimeter, it costs just as much as 1 atty in auction sites but it will save you the time and not to mention grief. So test it first with a multimeter so you don't have to screw it on a battery to see if it is working or not.

Do your atomizers have an "LR" printed on the band?

yes there was a gold colored band with LR printed on it and the TW logo on the opposite side of the LR

So they worked but you're mad because they're cheaper? or did I miss something?

:( :( Well if you put it that way then it looks like I'm just nit picking over nothing in which case you did miss it :D:D

Its about getting what was advertised, I bought in to this whole this because I wanted to used it in tandem with the pufftronic which I ordered the same day I went to get the attys. I wanted to experience the 5v simulation without using 2 batteries and a 5v regulator. Imagine if you will going on a 3 week safari trip only to find out you forgot your chargers which will more likely to last longer using one battery at a time or 2.

Sounds to me u got a good deal if u got there reg attys for the price of there LR...

Think about it in these terms you wanted a car with 4 cylinders to cut on your gas spendings instead you got a 6 cylinder for a price lower than a 4 cylinder is that a good deal ? of course it is, but then that's not gonna get you to your original goal, you'll end up spending more in the long run, it woulda been better if you just got what you originally intended.

My original intension was simplicity, do away with bulky stuff in my pockets, think about it if the LR did what it was supposed to, it'd be easier for me getting a 5v simulation without all the stuff I would normally need (big battery mod, 2-4 extra batts).

And as I have stated in my original post, I know I have only myself to blame for buying into the hype instead of doing what I should have done in the first place. :(:(:(

Those readings are high for even "regular" 510 atties. I just checked all of my TW LR atties.. none above 1.6Ω.

Are you sure your meter is OK and that it reads 0Ω with the leads shorted?

Hmmm ... if I buy chicken and get fish instead, I am annoyed, even if said fish was cheaper than it usually is.

:thumbs: couldn't have said it better myself :lol::lol:

Hey look at the bright side, you can use those attys at 5-6V just fine :D

Thanks for the ray of sunshine :):) with 5v I usually used 3.5 to 4.3Ω attys and for 6v 4.4Ω and above but thats just me it works for me fine that way.

If it says LR on the atty and it is not,Then it is a lie.Thats wrong.Simple.

Pretty strong words :cry: but I do appreciate the support :thumb: :thumb: TY TY TY But as I also said it could be just a bad batch and I just had the misfortune of getting it.

It could be just a bad batch that I got but, as I said b4 I'm happy in a way that I'm the only one so far that got it and that the rest got what was advertised. And if it was my meter acting up then the vapor test would have proven it faulty, I should get the same or close to vapors I'm getting with my HV attys but as it stands the vapor production is not even near or closely comparable.

i ordered 3 of their attys

they're not really LR?

Bait and Switch

I've said it b4 and can't say it enough it could be just a bad batch that I have the misfortune of getting. Over 400 people have attested to TW's products to be good, reliable and as advertised, they can't be all wrong. :D:D:D

Weird...i get a ton of vapor on the LR attys from TW. Throat hit, not quite as much as HV. And my attys leak like crazy if they are sat down wrong (which i mentioned in another thread). But its a good substitute for HV vaping, at least for me.

That was my thinking too, but immana try the other more pricier low resistance atty that the other company is selling maybe I'll get a better result there.

Well there seems to me to be more than 400 people that would disagree with you. Not that I am saying I disagree with you, but more than 400 would :D:D:D:D:D

No you got it wrong. You were purchasing a 6 cylinder (LR atty) and got a 4 cyl (reg atty) because the LR is a gas guzzler. So although you may still have to purchase a 6 cyl still, you will get more MPP with your four cyl, and with the price of liquid these days, a better investment. Yeah, I am just a ray of sunshine. OTOH you do have attys that will work fine at 5V the higher resistance ones that is. The 2 Ohm one you can't possibly try to tell me that it does not perform better thatn stock.:D

And why in the world do you kill an atty every three days? Even at 5V a standard atty can last weeks if not months with a little care and maintenance...same so far for LR's as well. Maybe you should read some of the howto threads here and see why you are killing them so early in their life, would save you some serious $$$.

Atomizers that die after 3 days does not necessarily mean you don't know how to use one. I have been vaping over a year and still have some of them die that soon. I have others that last 4-5 months. I feel I know how to use an atomizer. Atomizers are just unpredictible.

I said 3 days just as a precaution :):) , when I go on a trip I don't bring my whole stock with me. My first 901 lasted 10 weeks :D:D before it died :(:(, I have had attys that died on me in a couple of minutes just ask scott, bigbuyer and cassey. With regards to cleaning attys I have followed them to the letter, and still others I have lost not because I was using them but because of accidents such as dropping the PV or accidental discharge when it is in my pocket.

Look I'm not looking for some kind of replacement from TW or discount for my next purchase and it is not the intention of this thread to run an anti TW campaign. I just wanna share my experience with the community and see how many of you have had the same experience. And if in the off chance that it is only me that had this experience then I'm sorta content because all of you did not have this to deal with.

yeah i bought these too because of the price. They are branded lr but I can not tell a difference between these and regular attys that I buy everywhere else.

The magnums from nhaler are a world of difference over regular attys.
but with the high cost of shipping from nhaler, it cost 19 bucks to just order one. That sucks.

These cost 15 bucks shipped for one, but they work the same as an atty you can buy for 8 bucks with free shipping from other places. That sucks more.

I haven't hooked them up to a meter, but I can definitely tell a difference.
