So I went to their store last week to buy the so called Low Resistance atty's which was supposed to be 1.5ohms, I bought 4 of them in fact because I was going for my vacation and I normally blow atty's after 3 days. I was surprised that it took a lot of punishment and still worked, I am a chain vaper and I usually go thru 5ml a day and thats on a busy day imagine how many more I could use up doing a 7 hour drive. During my whole vacation and until I got home I only used 1 atty of the 4 that I bought I am amazed that it lasted that long.
When I got home I have missed HV vaping for an entire week and decided to try HV vaping again to my surprise I was getting more vapor on HV than the LR then it hit me I never did a vapor production comparison between the HV and the LR attys.
So finally I did a vapor production test and it was then that my first LR gave out no worries I have 3 more, but I had the same results my HV atty are producing way more vapors than TW LR ones. So finally I whip out my multimeter and tested for ohms. Guess what the LR attys weren't LR attys at all, I thought maybe its just one bad one so I took out the other 2 and sure enough they were 2.8, 2.9 and 3.1 ohms.
What a let down all that time I thought I was using 1.5 ohm attys when they were in fact just regular atty's. I could have just taken my multimeter with me when I drove 50 miles to their store. I could have tested their atty's when I got home and just sent them all back b4 my 24 hour return window expired. I could have just ignored all the whoohha about the Totally Wicked Low Resistance atty reviews I have read here in ECF. I could have just been a little skeptical when I tested them at the store.
But no, when I got to their store I tested it with the silver bullet and I thought the reason for that low vapor production was because of the SB being so dense that it had a natural resistor. Maybe its because I wanted it so much to work that I just ignored all the stuff that I normally do when I first get new attys.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda I know I have only myself to blame for being blinded by the hype, I am happy in a way that since the introduction of these Totally Wicked Low Resistance atty no one has complained yet, well til now anyway. Maybe it was just a bad batch that I just happen to have the misfortune of getting. Well I guess thats better than the alternative reason that I have in mind.
Now I'm stuck with 3 regular attys which I don't really need, maybe I'll just donate them in the pay it forward thread. This is my first dealings with TW I read such great things about them and their LR's are cheaper than the other company thats carrying them but I guess tis true that you get what you paid for.
I hope no one else will have the same experience as mine and for the future buyers of attys here is something to think about, before you use any atty test them first with an adequate digital multimeter, it costs just as much as 1 atty in auction sites but it will save you the time and not to mention grief. So test it first with a multimeter so you don't have to screw it on a battery to see if it is working or not.
