Well said my friend. ..yep I loved COV and just missed the Grady thing by about a year..I lived in the boca area most of my life, but then moved up to the west coast around that time when COV was popular.
The diversity of our preferences and pursuit of the vape is inversely proportional to our enjoyment of that damned cigarette. If we hated it, we're apt to just be grateful we kicked it and about anything that gets us over first will do the trick. If we loved it, we're likely to be forever in pursuit of duplicating and expanding upon the experience in any and every way. It's not a hobby, it's devotion to something that fulfills us.

I loved tobacco, always enjoyed it and the social aspects of participation. Never felt I was fixated but for the psychological impact of being reminded constantly that I was an anti-social stupid addict. Still were it not for my health (unrelated) and the politics, I'd prolly still be at it. It's unfortunate what regulation has done to the industry, it's products and to us as people.

I celebrate your vaping exuberance, be it large or small. Cheers!

Good luck. :)

I'm not a huge cloud kind of vapor. Even though I am now fully DTL vaping I still vape for flavor and nicotine. I take pretty small puffs off my .15 and .25 and .5 ohm tanks. I find it very satisfying. Once in while I'll take a big lung full just 'cause I can.

My son vapes the huge clouds. Watching him take huge sucks off his vape makes my throat hurt.
It sounds like we have the same taste, .15 and .20 ohm on the freemax pro and fireluke mesh. The .25 ohm on the dolphins and the .5 on the estoc with euc ceramic coils.

I totally understand this......I think I might have followed the same path if I weren't vaping long before or wasn't a rebuildable guy...I think because I have always been a rebuildable guy, (started with gennys 7 years ago, then moved to rebuilding reos, then to rebuilding rtas like the kayfuns & taifuns) it made for a much better and satisfying mtl vape compared to a non rebuildable guy vaping nautilus drop in coil tanks. Also quite lucky being a tobacco net type of guy because it seems easier to obtain hi nic juices, even today. My all time fav vendor has always and still does offer all juices up to 36mg nic....so yes, I can understand what your saying. I honestly believe if I started like 4 years ago and was strictly a mtl vapor doing drop in coils and vaping fruits or like cereals, the vape and options wouldn't have been satisfactory and most likely might have moved to the dark side
I've said it before, but the reason I started the whole DL, lots of vapor style of vaping is because the MTL options were being choked out by the DL/sub-ohm options - not just devices either - a lot of juice companies were offering juices in lower nicotine concentrations that weren't all that suitable for MTL - especially for those trying to kick the habit of smoking cigarettes. I haven't been paying quite as much attention to the industry lately as I used to, but it seems to me that MTL is making a comeback with all of the pod devices, nicotine salts, and new MTL specific delivery systems. It's a great thing - unless you ask my wallet (or my wife).

I vape 2 ml per day. I have been weaning myself off of nicotine slowly. The amount that I vape stays the same. I have gone from 50mg/ml...
I switched from years of rolling tobacco (~10mg nic) to 12mg liquid, then 6, now 3, with the tendency towards 1.5mg. All within 3 months. No reason why you couldn't do the same.

Note: The biggest change in increased liquid consumption came when switching from 6 to 3. Given that the plus in liquid costs me more than adding +3mg nic to my liquids, I may consider settling around maybe 4 or 5mg. Maybe. I don't know yet.

Just out of curiosity how many (before vaping was viable) reformed smokers told you if you want to you can just quit smoking too?

I'm down to 1.5 mg of nic, but it took me 5 years to get there.

Forever grateful for your thoughtful experiments and observations (pulse annealing), along with many others, the encouragement it gave me. Peeps like you and sXd first put the rope around this wild bull and the industry ran wild with it. My regrets that it's seldom mentioned.

Good luck. :)

Thank you my friend....but you broke it down and explained the tech side, which was and is always such an interesting read....

Am I the only person who sometimes loudly says "vaping is really good!" after exhaling and admiring the density of the vapor? Because that's how much I like it...
Oh I definitely like it and as a rebuilder, i have to look at the vapor and flavor and say " oh yes this is a great build". It's the only things that gives feedback on the efforts, which is satisfying. Once that's past though, I kind of just enjoy the fact that I'm not smoking anymore and don't really think about it till my next build.

Clouds are interesting, but I've been happy for going on 9 years with MTL. It's been a direct replacement for my Merit Lights (previously Marlboro Reds).

I go through about 9ml juice a day. Even doing DIY I'd have mix up some huge bottles to keep up with demand on a cloud machine.
