I have an original TOL I got from someone here on the classies and haven't really touched my other mods since I got it. I keep it in 350 mode and it's tiny and sleek and pocketable. I really love it. :) I did not replace the spring with magnets and haven't had any issues with the bottom button.

I also picked up the Elm hybrid dripper for it, used it for a few days, and went back to the Origen v1 I got with the TOL. The Elm wasn't that hard to build, but I like to really juice up my drippers and the air holes are so close to the deck it was leaking constantly if I wasn't judicious with the amount of juice I put in. I might wind up selling it (not sure yet).

Here's the TOL/Origen. You can see how miniscule it is!

I have heard that the Infinite clone is very, very good if that's all you can do with your budget; sounds like you can't really go wrong with it. I have seen at least one other TOL on the classies recently so they do show up!

Have you seen the thread on using rayon as a wicking material?
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=561226
I've only used it in my Kayfun clones. But from comments on the thread, some who've used it in drippers were surprised by how well it held juice, so well that they could put in more than a cotton build so it'd hold more. Just a suggestion to maybe let you keep the Elm.

Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

I have heard of using rayon; I pretty much use XC-116/ReadyxWick exclusively in all of my toppers because it wicks so well and never burns. Maybe if I just used really long lengths of it it would help (it wicks so well in everything else that the end of it just has to be touching the free juice in the well and it sucks it right up to the coil, down to the last drop). I haven't given up on the Elm forever but perhaps stuffing it would help. :) The air holes are so close to the deck that any loose juice wound up coming right out for me.

I have a dripper just like that myself. I like its looks, how easy I can build on it, the top cap design, etc. But has airholes practically on the deck. Leaks like anything if I'm not careful. So I do understand.

But I've found that the atomizer designed by the designer of the mod often really looking look great together. So I just offered it up as a suggestion.

Plan on getting the clone myself. FastTech just posted some PVD coated black and also gold colored clones that have me itching to buy. They'd exactly match the PVD coated Kayfun clones. But they'd be of the nicer designed Tree of Life instead of the usual Nemesis.

I just took a look - the black is beautiful! It still has the Ember logo and the TOL engraving but I am REALLY happy to see the bottom cap doesn't say "USA" on it like the SS version. That really bothered me. :)

(On second thought, that could also mean the new ones are not made by Infinite. Hmmm. Also just noticed there's an insulator in the bottom cap, which neither the original nor Infinite clone have. If you get it, I'd be curious to see whether the quality is the same.)

I've been poking around the discussion forums on Fasttech, from what I gather, the $30 set on their site is made by Infinite. This is based off the black box with the ToL logo on it as well as the bottom cap with the USA engraving. The others do not have that, so I would assume it is not the Infinite clone. But the quality could be good, I personally don't know this.

I plan to use my KFL nano on my mod as well as the Magma RDA. Here's a pic I found of that particular setup. Doesn't look too shabby, both made by Infinite.

I've had that one for about a month now & it's great! No flaws or scratches. I did take the switch apart when I first got it & slightly stretched & straightened the spring. Another tip is to tighten the switch button with a screwdriver, that helps prevent it from backing out over time.

The elm clone from FT is on it's way, so soon it'll be hybrid mode. ;)

Yeah, that switch is the most annoying part of the mod. A friend of mine stuffed a small piece of paper in the switch so the threads on the screw wouldn't back out. Works pretty good, but I'm going to order some of those magnets that were just mentioned (thx Kahuna Cowboy!) and see if that helps. However, you all have me really thinging about that Elm...hummm...

Ok, ever since I saw this mod, I really wanted one and the clone version of it by Infinite is pretty affordable, at around $35-40 for a whole set. I've been searching the forums a lot and I really just don't see it mentioned very much. I've read a couple of posts and reviews on it, but thats about it. Seems like the general consensus is that it is a very well made mod. I know some people aren't crazy about the aesthetics, but I personally think it looks very nice! I like the grooves at the top and bottom and love the tree engraving.

So, for those of you who own one (real or not.. I assume they are relatively similar), how do you like it and how does it compare to your other mods? Can you kick it? How is the firing button and can it be replaced with a magnetic switch (and which one if so)? Any other issues or opinions worth mentioning? Thanks!

I have two versions, one from HCIGAR and one from FastTech, they are different in just some minor areas, The only thing that annoys me is the copper pins dirt up pretty fast. I reviewed both of them on my site (see signature) if you feel like having a read.

I love them both, the FT one is a little more fiddly in the button.

I got my ToL mod today! It is a very nice mod indeed. Here is a pic of it in 18350 mode next to my Evic also in 18350 mode for size comparison. Looks nice with the Kayfun in nano mode for a compact mod.

I'm still messing with it though. My first mech! I conquered my fear of battery exploding in my face for now. And now to make a new coil.

hummm...the only thing about FT is it doesn't say "ships next day." It just says "in stock." If you're in a rush, FT may not be the way to go lol...

Mine shipped next day. The newest ToL on FT is the HCIGAR version, you can tell by looking at the caps and bottom button :) HCIGARS doesnt have the USA on it :)

I used mine all day yesterday. Loving it so far! Not that I have anything to compare it to since its the only mech I own but I'm pretty satisfied thus far. No problems yet. Button seems to work fine. Why would one want to switch to magnetic? I'm getting some magnets in the mail tomorrow so I'm gonna try it out to see what the fuss is about.
