In case you're not aware, our friend Vaporologist has achieved what many of us have striven to achieve, quit analogs and ultimately quit vaping.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rades-ody-kick-supert-t-tips-extra-parts.html

I give him my congratulations and best wishes in this new chapter of his life.
I'll be honest and say that I'm sad, the way you'd be sad if your brother packed up and moved to Tennessee. I don't know what his plans regarding ECF are, but I certainly will miss his insight, expertise and congeniality. He's one of the reasons I'm here. All it took was to read a few of his posts to know that what he said was gospel, and the way he said it always made you feel good inside.

I saw V do many acts of kindness, a few of which I received. He's one guy whom Karma will never be able to repay, I don't think there's enough good Karma floating around out there.

I have spoken to him on the phone but actually have no idea what he looks like and I really don't care. His Borat avatar is just so perfect, that friendly naive enthusiasm, thumbs up all the way, what else could he look like?

I'm a miserable imitation but when you read my posts in the future, know that I'm always looking in the rear view mirror, trying to be just like him.

Epic Journey
Thank you all sooooo much, from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my story...

After many years of living a very fast paced, stressful, unhealthy eating, overworked lifestyle filled with high doses of daily sugar, caffeine and nicotine to get me and keep me going and sleeping pills or a glass of scotch to help me fall asleep, I started experiencing chest pains at only 38 yrs old at the very end of April with blood pressure of 167 over 98. I was planning to go see a doctor at the beginning of the week and coincidentally my wife, who was unaware of my symptoms, suggested that we watch the Forks Over Knives documentary. That was an eye opening event for me which kick-started my new life. After watching that and the Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead documentary, my wife and I decided to go on a 15 day juice fast detox program starting that Monday. Well, to make a long story short, during the juice fast my body got the detox and the reboot it needed. During this fast I was able to get over all previous dietary addictions including sugars, oil, meat, caffeine, nicotine, alcohol... We have since adopted an all-plant-based diet and we just cannot believe how we feel! I went from 228lbs to current 204lbs and my blood pressure is down to 128 over 89 and dropping without any medications.

I have since become as passionate about nutrition as I used to be about vaping. And vaping, even at 0% nic was still an addiction for me, I felt like I just couldn't let it go... So I had to let it go, or die trying. Luckily I'm still alive :)

This vaping journey was such an unbelievable journey and I owe so much to all of you for helping me reach the destination I didn't even realized I was heading towards. I saw myself vaping for many years to come in order to make sure I would never be tempted to ever go back to smoking. I often told my wife that if I had to do this for the rest of my life as my no-smoking insurance policy, I would be fine with that. The idea of quitting vaping was not something I started entertaining until a little over two months ago. But these recent events have helped create my new destiny which I must follow. I've never been an "ease into it" kind of a guy so going all out is the only way I feel comfortable pursuing this new direction.

Again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for helping me get here! :toast:

Oh, and snork, here you go... It's me in all my glory :)

Vaporologist has always impressed me with the character he exhibits on these forums and is standup memeber of ECF. I would say i'll miss him, however, i know he won't be able to resist a new mod and won't be gone for long ;-)

LOL

I will be lurking at least... You know I have to see what Strata is all about. You got me hooked there at least :)

Btw, I will never forget all those nice things you've done for me behind the scenes to make my vaping journey beyond satisfactory! Thank you :toast:

Very good. Good luck, I am well!
Veggie Tales! How appropriate!

LOL!!! That picture is a couple of years old. But that's funny!

Btw, thank you so much for this thread and for your post. I am BEYOND honored for everything you said and feel undeserving. I feel like I have a lot of work to do to be deserving of such words. You truly inspired me today. Thank you!

Oh, and call me anytime please.

Wow Snork, you are much better with words than I am, thank you for making this thread. Like I said in a different thread, Vlad is probably the nicest, most down to earth dude that I have met online (or offline :). I remember the first time we talked on the phone, I was thinking oh man, this could get weird but it was not. I think we ended up talking for 45 minutes or something and it was like talking to an old friend. V leaving makes me even more disappointed that I was not around for a few months, I feel like I missed out a ton of vaporologsit cheer. Anyways, I am so so so happy for your new life, I hope that some day I can get there. I am however sad for myself and this forum, because this forum needs people like Vaporologist, people like you are few and far between. I am glad to have known you and we will have to stay in touch. Congrats to you and your family and your new addiction free life.

I always laughed at your avatar, one of the best ever. You were always helpful, fun and informative. I hope you are successful in all your endeavors, including this one. I can see myself getting to 0 nic one day fairly easily once I'm through this huge stash, but quitting altogether seems a bridge too far for me so kudos to you.
