So Ive been vaping for over a month. Analog free since day one of vaping! I'm using a Kgo, love it, great battery life, gets me a day and a half to 2 days on a charge. But the topper choice, the Stardusts is just "ok". Great experience for a first timer, but the flavor seems to be rather inconsistent. Right after a fill I get great flavor, then around 0.8 ml it falls off and I want to refill.

Ive had 3 clear Stardusts for over a month and still going strong, aside from the flavor issue. I ordered some colored ones, since they were out of clear and they taste burnt out of the box. Tried cleaning same as I do the clear ones that are working fine, still a burnt taste.

I think maybe its just time for a new product. I love the hybrid tank thing the Stardusts have going, easy fill, no big deal to clean. But I want something like it that has more consistent flavor and no burnt taste.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

The stardusts you use everyday just might be worn out, or you're ready to try some new stuff.

Have you tried any regular (non-clear poly-fill) cartomizers yet? A few places will sell one at a time, you may not need to buy an entire five pack. I like to use 1.7ohm single coil with a stainless steel or ceramic drip tip. I've gotten over a month on some of them before the flavor or draw changes. The single coil Boge 2ohm is very popular. An easy and clean way to fill them is to keep the rubber cap on the bottom(some vapers call it the condom) then i top fill them and give it a shake or two like a thermometer. PM me if you need help finding a vendor who might set you up with a sampler of different cartomizers.

I would try out the Fluxomizer Supremes or, my personal favorite, the Phoenix (or CE3 XL). The Fluxomizer might have a little more flavor and a bit more warmth to the vapor, but the Phoenix is leak proof and just works without any fiddling. The flavor and TH is still perfect for me. The CE2+ (flux supreme), requires a tad bit of fiddling with the silicon nipple to make it work perfect.

I also noticed the same issue with the Stardust. If mine are fully filled, I get no flavor. From 80% to 40%, the flavor is great and after that is just dies again. So, I end up filling more often than needed. The CE3 XLs I vape till their empty and they have the same flavor and vapor.

Have no tried any stardusts but from reading, there are actually 2 versions of it. The first has the short wicks, if you are using that one you might try version 2 which has remedied that design flaw with the longer wicks.

I think this could be why there are such mixed reviews. Not many vendors carrying V2 yet and the people with the first version are all "this sucks".

I'll second the suggestion for the Phoenix. Its the cleanest, best tasting vape I have found. I was having some issues with it, but I realized it was all because I either had air in my syringe when I filled it, or didn't fill it up all the way. You have to fill it exactly the way the instructions say to...if done right, its amazing. (and its not hard at all, I just wasn't being as careful as I should have)

GotVapes is out right now, but I heard they are supposed to get them in stock in about a week. (maybe less than a week by now)

Look up the CE3, from www.discountvapers.com, it's the exact same thing as the Phoenix and costs a hair bit less. Eric is a great guy with speedy shipping (not that the GV team is bad either, I like them too). I just ordered my Twist from DV yesterday, it went out the same day I ordered it and I couldn't beat the price!!:)

Yeah I have been thinking about the Phoenix Tank from Got Vapes. I realize there are other vendors but I prefer to go with the original and it looks like waiting for the next batch after release where they can work out any bugs seems to be ideal.

I believe I have the second version of the Stardusts, they have a silver cone coming out of the condom, not a flat plate. Like I said they do the job, but it feels slightly lacking, and after a month of vaping, I'm wanting a more consistent vaping experience.

Ive heard loads of good stuff about the Boges, but hesitant about having a poly taste. There were some cartos that came with my Kgo kit and I tried one, flavor was ok, but I mostly tasted filler... huge turn off.

I'm done w/the stardust. Long or short wicks; I give up. I wind up with that yummy burnt taste (last one was like that right out of the box) & yes I let it sit so the wicks will fill-up. It could me just me ....it's has been known to happen.
My fav at this moment is a carto that I found at CCV - it's the Jumbo 2.5ml. Resurrector - this thing is awesome. Holds a ton & great flavor. I know that everyone is saying that they're staying away from Smoketech right now & I'm honestly not sure if these are Smoketech (not advertised as such but the box they came in were marked that way) I've filled 2 so far & cleaned one & that one is just like new....happy camper here.

Been thinking about trying the Phoenix, but I just got my Fluxomizers figured out where they are near as easy as the Stardust. Got some aluminum drip tips that go all the way against the ceramic cup and I do away with the silicone cap entirely. However the juice does get a bit worse near the end. Biggest reason I haven't jumped over and tried them, other than trying to stop my excessive vaping spending habit, is you have to fill with a syringe. So it's "flavor being a bit more consistent" vs "warmer vaper & easier to fill". Not sure it's worth it, but I'm sure I'll eventually splurge on them.

Check out Discount Vapors' E1 ReVive and CE6. I, too, hated the muted flavor on the Stardusts, but loved the ease and looks of them. The 2 clearos I just mentioned both are super easy to fill, clean, and look great on kGo/eGo batts.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Love your avi, GoT is the best!
Maybe I was just unlucky, but I ordered both of those and really wanted to like them but the CE6 arrived with major cracks on top and bottom of the tube and my E1 Revive seems to have a problem with the bottom seal. It just keeps oozing juice.

Well worth it. I carry my syringe in my carry pouch, but I really don't need it. I start the morning by filling three of them and they last me the day:) It only takes less than a minute to fill from pulling the juice from the bottle and squeezing it into the clearo and cleaning the needle under some warm water by pulling and pushing the syringe a few times. It has now become habit for me and I really do not mind it. The fact that I have a clearo that does not leak and has the same vapor and flavor from top to bottom is well worth it. Btw, I just killed my first one after almost 2 weeks of use. Started to taste burnt for some reason...
