Hi - I am very new to this....I started using Mystics about two weeks ago, but there is NO WAY I could afford to buy cartridges all the time (I previously made my own cigs using pipe tobacco and tubes - so my cost was REALLY low)

I tried refilling the Mystics with some instructions I found online - but NOT working well :(

Is there any refillable that has a cigarette like tip that is good and rechargeable? The eliquid is much cheaper, and I like to have the variety of menthols and strengths available, but every refillable I have found has the weird looking end that I KNOW will not work for me....please help - this is the longest I have gone using these and I am committed - LOL, just need help finding something that works and feels the way I need it to at a more affordable way.

Thanks so much in advance for your help!!:)

Once you do away with the idea that your e-cig needs to look like a real cigarette, (ie. using something that is larger than a cigarette) you'll do much better. Hey cig-a-likes work for some people but they really lack in power and vape quality. It wasn't until I started using the eGo batteries that I was able to kick real cigarettes for good.

I would recommend looking into Clearomizers, and eGo style batteries, Perhaps. an EVOD starter kit. Kanger E-vod starter kit – KangerTech

If it looks and feels like a cigarette, chances are good it won't work well enough to keep you from smoking. It may help in those situations that a larger device would be inconvenient.
I thought the same as you...I was wrong. The form factor doesn't matter. Find a device that really works...I like evods for beginners.

Hi and welcome to ECF. You will definitely find that cig-a-like styled ecigs with pre-filled cartridges like Mistic will be the most costly possible option for switching to an e-cig.

What I think you are asking is what can be easily refilled but not have a pipe or cigar like tip- unfortunately other than cartomizers (this is what you are using), nothing. The most straight forward simple option without a funky tip- its pretty simple and just round is Katana Kit III - Kanger Evod Single Kit

You can also get "blank" cartomizers like Smok Tech 3.0 Ohm White 808 Cartomizer, Single that are made to fill yourself. It may be a bit easier.

Good luck :)

I started with disposables later upgraded to a refillable cig-a-like. After reading a lot of reviews, I went with Halo instead of the popular V2. Try the G6 from Halo, you can choose your colors (so if you prefer the cigarette style you can get white batteries and tan cartridges) as well as an automatic or manual battery. It is great quality and the starter kit is affordable.

But Griff is right, once you move beyond cig-a-likes on to more powerful batteries and the tank system, you will prefer it, trust me. With tanks you taste the vapor much more than with polyfill cartridges, get a much better throat hit, you can put more liquid in a tank than a carto (so you don't have to refill as often), and the battery lasts so much longer so you don't have to worry about charging as often. I personally upgraded from the G6 to the 1300mAh Triton battery and now I am a convert. It isn't too heavy, clunky, or awkward to hold and you can choose a variety of colors. I'd say it is a good company for any beginner like myself. And many people suggest the eGo style batteries as well, so perhaps look at some options from Joyetech, or Vision Spinner is highly recommended.

Best of luck to you!

Hi once you get your kit do you know you can make your own e juice A LOT cheaper than buying it? I make my own and it was the best thing I did! I don't have a lot of money and store bought e juice was costing 6 to 12 dollars a bottle, now that I make my own my husband figured it costs around 20 cents a bottle to make. A large jug of pg and vg is around 17 dollars at a place like e cig express. The most expensive part is the nicotine costing around 30 dollars for a medium bottle, less if smaller bottle. Flavors for small flavors are about 1.50 from perfume apprentice and large flavor bottles are 3 dollars. There is a e juice calculator online for free that you plug your numbers into and it tells you how much to use of each thing. Empty bottles are around 5.00 for a box from amazon.Com and measures are about .60 cents. That's about all you would need to start up and it will save you a lot of money. Reason I brought this up was you seemed to be wanting to find ways to save money and this will save you a lot!! Also it's fun and you can make the juice exactly the way YOU like. I wanted to share about this in hopes to help you save money with your vaping. Making the juice is much easier than you think. Of course it can get complex with mixing several flavors but it's fun to expirement. I just wanted to make you aware this is always a option if money is tight and plus it's a lot of fun. I hope it's OK I made this suggestion. I know it helped me save a lot of money. Best wishes to you!

+1

Evod start kit is a realy good kit, hassle free and good looking.
I use them as my out and about, when i don't wanna carry my mods with me.

Abit more expensive but a nice setup is vision spinner and mini pro tank 2 or 3.

But if you prefer a smaller and decent looking setup i'd go all in for an evod kit. They're small enough to fit in the pocket and they look better than most ego setups. For around 30$ (says 48$ at kangers site, but most stores sell them for 30-35$) you get 2x batteries with evod tanks + 5 extra coils and a charger. It's all you need to get started. :)

If you really want to stick to the cig-a-like form, I agree about Halo. It IS more expensive to do things that way, but if you get the mini G6 cartridges you can fill them with juice you can buy anywhere and it will save some $$ vs buying the pre-filled ones and the taste will be better, too. I started with Halo, but I did move on to the ego-type batteries with tanks pretty quickly. You may find that you want to stick with them, though, and Halo has a decent rewards system, too.

miniprotank2v2 and either an itaste vv v3 or better yet and mvp2.

You might want to try something like a v-nano but those do not have replaceable coils; but they are ciglike and cheap.

Everyone on here seems to have the right idea. The Halo g6 is the only cigalike I could feel okay saying it isnt a waste of money. It preforms better than most cigalikes, plus they have a small tank system you can get for it which is pretty cool. Really though if you want to quit, you need a better setup. Evod .... If you are having trouble buying juice, Mount Baker Vapor is not the best quality eliquid, but its so so cheap and it vapes pretty decent.

Is it the holding the cig thats an issue for you or is it the looks of a tank and battery? I bought a tank and battery first thing yes I missed holding a cig and it did feel awkward at first. But thats an easy habit to break. You can get the mini tanks which are small and something like a small evod or vision spinner battery to get close and possibly more satisfaction out of your vape. I tried a few different tanks and settled with an aerotank simply because I missed the tighter draw from a cig. Oh yeah and throat hit wow didnt think I was ever going to rediscover it. I spent a little more money than I wanted to but with a square mod and aerotank I am now very satisfied vaping. I build my own coils for almost nothing a roll of Kathonal a1 wire is really cheep and 100% cotton balls a bag lasts forever lol. But if its really important to you to have that Cig feel and size then like many others have said go to the halo.

Oh thank you all so much!!! I have been trying to research this on my own - and I couldn't be more confused :) Disposables are worthless to me - LOL, I smoked a LOT, so I went through that thing in like 5 hours!

I am looking over all your info - a LOT to digest...so far I like this Halo G6 starter kit - It looks the way I want it to kind of - is it refillable?? And do I have to replace the coil things?? LOL, it shows you how much I really don't understand :)

I don't think there is a good store here - they sell disposables and WalMart has the Mystics.....The eGo kits are confusing me a bit :/ I want something that is automatic because the button messed with me with the ecig I had years ago.

I would love to figure out how to make my own liquid someday!! I didn't even know you could do that!!!

I am down to 2-3 smokes a day from 2 packs a day - but I have to admit, this will be hard to stick with if I don't get more consistency and some more vapor....any more suggestions?? Am I on the right path here?? Thank you so much for welcoming me:oops: - I really need to work this....this is kind of my last hope as bad as that must sound :(

I would soooo like to have more vapor - it is more a mouth feel issue with me and weight I think - and I definitely KNOW I need something without that button thing - LOL!!
