I am going to help him out with it, he really needs to quit I feel awful watching him cough more and more :(

Even if he really needs to quit... and even if he KNOWS he really needs to quit... unless he actually WANTS to quit, and MAKES THE EFFORT to switch... it won't happen. Even for those of us who found it easy, that's just a comparison to all the other ways we've tried quitting; it's not a magic wand, and still takes effort and commitment.

I completely agree. I am just waiting for him to be ready. I am going to buy him his own Halo Triton and that way, it will be ready for him :) When I quit it was hard as hell.

I suggest he start out on a nautilus mini at 8 watts if he does mouth to lung hits. I vape 70pg/30vg on it and never coughed after a couple days and only the same cough I had smoking. If you cough on every hit it's not for you. Some are sensitive to pg, while others like me get wheezy and a tight chest with high vg. He has to find what works for him, both device AND juice. Good luck!

When I first did it, I found it surprisingly easy, because I wasn't really trying to *QUIT* -- I was just trying a cool experiment, to see if it would work. It did, faster than I could believe; after a few weeks of vaping, the cigarettes tasted like warm crap, didn't have half the throat hit of my vape, and made my hands stink so bad I couldn't wait to wash them and put on some vanilla lotion. Plus I still had to drop everything and run outside if I wanted to smoke, whereas I could just sit here and vape -- I'm lazy, so that was excellent motivation. :D

yah - the kicker is he has to want it - you can help, but you can't do it for him - therein lies the challenge

be patient, learn all you can - enjoy your vape-adventure and let him see that it does work :)
