Crazy Question(s), But i'm due to fly back home tomorrow from work, and i was wondering, i'm considering trying to pack my 510 and a 5ml bottle of juice. On Alaska airlines from FAI to ANC.

Here's my 2 crazy questions

1) Does it have to be a quart bag for the single 5ml juice bottle? can i use a standard sandwich baggie? <if no, why?>

2) does a juice filled cartridge count as a "liquid, gell or arisol"? and should it be packed in with the ejuice?

Thanks in advance!!!

Yes can be smaller clear bag under a quart, if you are going to only put a 5cc bottle in said bag put your filled cartridge in them. If not enough room then go to the quart bag!!!!

First of all I would like to thank you for your hellp in answering our questions.
Now for my question. I'll be flying United to Denver next month. I use a Precise P10 and a Bulli A2 and Bulli A2-t. Will I be able to carry these on. Don't want them thinking it's a pipe bomb.

Nothing illegal at this time, now they may inspect and swab test to make sure it is not anything nefarious. If a TSA agent gives you a hassle ask for a supervisor.

Glad I found and read all 17 pages of this thread. I hardly ever fly but have to go from Providence to Washington National and back this week and plan on taking everything in my carry on and my "Eclipse Mint" tin mod with 18650 in my shirt pocket. I'll follow up in a few days after my trip.

Thanks for starting and maintaining this thread!

Ah, just saw this post, I have seen a "Altoids" mod before, not sure I would take that in my shirt pocket or carry-on! You are not doing anything illegal but those tins with wires, batteries and switches will not look good. Please let me know how it went, might want to take a SASE with you to the airport.

I know there's a bit of a risk, but as you say there is nothing illegal and worse case is I'll have to show and explain what everything is. I'm also taking a Nico Stick along for backup just in case. If for some unknown reason they take my tin, I'll just make another one when I get back.

I'll post my experience in a couple of days.

Well, I went to and from DC on US Airways and nobody blinked an eye at what I had with me. I had all the stuff in the below picture in my carry-on luggage (only luggage I had with me). I also took my Eclipse Mints tin apart and put inside my luggage. As soon as I got through security and to my gate(s) I put my tin back together and stealth vaped in the terminal and in the air - no problems.

Just sat in Vancouver airport at the moment.
For the first time the TSA asked me what was in my jacket pocket after scanning it.
So I pulled out my solid stainless steel GTank, 1000mah egoT battery and my Darwin. I told them it is an electronic cig, they looked at me confused, pulled my drip tip off, continued to look confused, so I connected the battery and pulled a vape, the lady laughed and said, 'oh so you are tricking yourself to stop smoking', I said no, 'I've not smoked for 3 years', she continued to laugh and once again said, 'so you 'are' tricking yourself?', so I smiled and said, 'yeah, that's right'.
She smiled and said, 'have a good flight'.

My sister and I are flying out tomorrow morning out of Orlando. This is the first time I'm flying with my gear. I filled sample size bottles and it's in a baggie, small case with a few filled cartos and some blanks and my keyring ecig still in the package (but battery is charged) will go in my carry on. The Riva batts and charger are going in my laptop case. I don't expect any problems and I do not plan on stealth vaping in the airport. I'll probably vape in the restroom when needed.

I was wondering if I could safely vape in the toilet. Even if it is prohibited you shouldnt set off an smoke alarm in the toilet by vaping right? By the way does any one know what happens if I would be cought vaping in the toilet? thanks

I can't say who I work for (they prohibit it) but I work for a major airline as an inflight crew member. Please call ahead and find out if you can vape on the plane. It varies among airlines apparently, although we ban it completely. You can end up in a LOT of trouble if you insist on using your PV in a banned airline (think arrest etc). What they are worried about is mods and attys (yes, I normally have both). Attys are heat sources and airlines are paranoid about heat and fire for good reason. If they ask you to stop it is probably because of the attys being a heating device. Please don't give your crew a hard time - they are following what they have been told, and a passenger NEVER wins an argument. Remember, these folks are there to keep you safe.

TSA is the same way. They are there to help, so be polite and explain. Remember we are carrying batteries, switches, heating elements and odd liquid. What does that sound like to you??? So be nice and polite, and life will be good.

And for 13Ways - I know crew and TSA clash and there are jerks on both ends, but we all really are working for the same thing. We love you guys and thanks.

If caught, they'd probably treat you the same as if you were smoking a cigarette. Nasty penalties, there (at least in the US, not sure about other countries)

As for setting off the alarm, there's a lot of debate on whether you can set it off. Ultimately it depends on what type of detector is in use. If it's an optical sensor, then yes vaping can set it off, even if not easily it is still possible
