Picked up a GLV3 mini off the classys and want to send it in for a new paint job. (nothing wrong with it by the way, I'd just like a different color) I'm (im)patiently waiting for my 5V to come in so I can send the little guy in for new colors.
Not Jay and Sara's fault, they're doing what they can with all the machine shop stuff.

hell, I'm thinking about changing the color on my glv-3 mini also, especially after seeing Tat's pics last week.... (I'm starting to wear the powdercoat off the head-cap now anyways..._

hello again!!
I have been packing some orders up today, not a big shipment going out today but a few yesterday and few more today. I know some of my estimates are off on a few of my orders right now, Sorry about that- I made those build estimates when we had a helper for Jay- That is no longer the case so He's back to flying solo with the build lists' I know that some of the repaint's have been effected by this too
We are sorry about that delay. Things are looking up with the new account being set for internet orders and then hopefully things will move quicker again. Im still trying to get Jay to teach me powder-coat and he thinks I am going to zap myself in the booth so I have yet to try!!

Im going to get some organizing done around the shop here while I wait for Jay to pick up Torkie and I from work. He ran out to the Doctor appointment that he forgot about and Im here watching the shop

"hello there, it's 1-13-12 930 pm-ish

I did get about 5 orders out today and I have about 6-7 more on the table for in the morning, That should bring us to the new list that is orders from the 6th till now, There may be a few orders leftover from that build but I will get them out as soon as possible too!!
We should be up at the shop in the late morning sometime to build a few things- I will be sending the first two GLV2 xl's tomorrow,with more of them on the way through the week ahead

I wanted to let you all know that we will have the Website all back up and running within the next few days and we will open up GLV's Re-Opening Pre-Order!!! Im sure!! Jay will make a video and all that to open it up and it will be on the ECF
I will also make the update here when the site can accept orders again

HEY EVERYONE SORRY I WAS NOT ON THE EMAILS OVER THE WEEKEND- I WAS A BIT UNDER THE WEATHER BECAUSE OF THESE WEATHER CHANGES IN MICHIGAN- SNOW AND COLD YESTERDAY AND LAST NIGHT AND TODAY IT WAS POURING RAIN AND SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE 50 OUTSIDE!

Where do these GLV's come from when there is a pre-order opened up????
Steps one two and three.... Machine shop for raw stock naked bodies- -back here at our shop for polishing & then across town for the logo's and the laser etching special requests
Then...
when we get them back in our hands Jay gets a build list from Me (Sara). Depending on volume, I have anywhere from 15-50 units on a list at a time. Jay will get a count of head-caps, a list for color and also voltage, as well as a powder-coat color list and any full color. The Head caps that are polished get the assembly process started and the resistors begin to set, and then the powdercoat s-tarts- typically with full counts of each color/size until all completed. After this point any full color units get the headcap assembly process started too. Remember that this process is done on 15-50 units at a time so each step may take days depending on the number in the build.
As things come together I can start to grab pieces from the finished table to match up according to the shipping order list that I have. I go as close to in order as possible within the same build list. Please remember that it is unfair to put your order ahead of someone else's, because you may not like it if we placed orders in front of yours.
On my end, I have all the orders arranged by date- but if an order is ready within the same build list-- it gets packed up even if some orders in- between are still waiting on completion within that same build list, A few other things can hold up the shipping process for example special etching or the occasional wait for stock to get to me in the mail.
I will always be available to give updates However, Please keep in mind that the build times are my best estimate, and Jay is the only one building these custom made GLV's. We work Mon-Sat to get orders out quickly and within the given estimates, It would be really appreciated if we are given the length of our build time estimate before inquiry on shipping date for orders.(build time estimates are given in business days--Monday-Friday, no weekends, no holidays)

They just wrapped up a sale, and I don't expect one any time soon. If you have any doubts though, many of us here can attest that they are worth every penny.

Super excited. My Starbright Pink GLV-mini is nearly complete Just waiting on it being re-coated. It was all ready 2 days ago, ready to be sent out and everything. However, I decided on a colour change at the last minute so it's being re-coated again.
Can't believe how patient Sara and Jay have been with me. I such a fussy woman lol.

Then it's just got to travel across the pond and it will be mine................. all mine

Hello everyone, I am just here getting things together for the last batch of orders that can be filled with our remaining stock, Jay's doing all the remaining powdercoat this afternoon and in the Morning the headcap completion can start back up. I know he is anxious to get this build list out as some of you have gone past our estimated 15 business days or are at least getting close.
We will have some NEW help in here by the time that Jay begins building the Pre-order list's that are forming. We have right off the bat a few larger orders going out to be sold at stores in Minnesota and Australia, as well as those of you who have gotten in line already!
We really appreciate the kind words of encouragement that we receive from existing customers as well as the new customers who are excited to get their first GLV2's
This is another transition period that GREAT LAKES VAPOR is going through and I'm sure we will come out the other side better for having gone through these last few weeks of challenges and we have learned some things too!! ( I think of it like our 5 1/2 foot Iguana "Elliot Green", She is almost always shedding old skin for the new green skin- always growing slightly each time. Thank God shes potty trained LOL!!)
Thanks Again for your continued support of our company on the ECF and also there is a Forum in Finland that has quite a collection of GLV2 customers forming as well thanks to a customer of ours over there ;-)
