I wonder how vape compares to this in killing pathogens/viruses...

This nasal spray could kill the coronavirus before it infects you

SaNotize - The Company - Sanotize

Isn't PG germicidal? I've read those 2 popular, old reports on it (mice test, and also a test on a convalescence home for children).

I posted something about this on a different thread In the year 2040

Granted the study was more about nicotine than vaping in particular. I believe they used patches in the study. But nic is nic whether you're vaping, smoking, chewing, etc. It's in your bloodstream at the end of the day. Maybe vaping is more useful since PG/VG are germicidal and the main pathways it gets in are in the nose/mouth/throat.

Sounds like this oxide stuff just straight up kills the virus. Nicotine more blocks the receptors (or reduces receptor gene expression, whatever that means. Less of them to recept to?)

Another interesting study is a peptide discovered by MIT chemists which bonds to the virus itself causing it to just bounce off of things before it's expelled entirely. An experimental peptide could block Covid-19

I have 2L of nic... so, 8x 8oz bottles and I'll still have 4 extra... tempted to buy another 1L to fill the other 4 bottles, lol.

I'd recommend that you get at least (2) 4oz. bottles, too, from the get-go. (Or better yet, at least 3, so you'd have 1 extra to allow for accidental breakage in the future.)

Use 2 of the 4oz., instead of 1 of the 8oz. you'd planned to fill...when splitting up 1 of your liters. Then keep 1 4oz. bottle out of the freezer to use as a "working" bottle, and put the other 1 in the freezer with your 8oz. bottles. When those (2) 4oz. are empty and you're ready to pull an 8oz. bottle from the freezer, to start using it...reuse those same 2 bottles to do the same thing again = 1 in the freezer + 1 kept out as a working bottle.

I sent an email to Myfreedomsmokes yesterday thanking them for their great service over the years and to wish them luck. This is what I got back:

We plan to continue shipping vape products and diy supplies. FedEx and UPS have stopped shipping for vape companies. USPS is still shipping orders for us as of now. If the post office stops shipping our orders, we do plan to start shipping with another vendor. As of now it looks like we will be able to continue shipping to customers in states that don’t have any ban on vaping products. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you

If vaping is completely eradicated, it will bite the anti-vape-people in the end - everyone will be chain smoking, outdoor malls will be full of smokers, outdoor patios of restaurants will be full of smokers, every front door entrance to a business will have smokers, their next-door neighbors will be blowing smoke into their houses and their children will be smokers, etc., etc. Smoking galore!

It is then, when I will laugh.

I don't really see vaping eradicated, but it will be made more difficult once hardware and juice are outlawed. Only those with hardware and the ability to make juice will be able to vape.

If I couldn't vape, I certainly wouldn't go back to smoking after 12 years since my last pack.

I bought a half dozen Aegis Solos back in 2019 to prepare for the end. E-Juices was selling them for $26 a piece. Thought for sure they'd be junk. I'm still on my first one and it's still going strong. And I've beat the hell out of it. I have to say I've been quite impressed with these little things..more than I thought I'd be. Wondering if anyone knows of any sales. Think I'd like to pick up a couple more for insurance to go along with all the other Jacs, Provaris, and others I have. Most (if not all) are selling them in kits. Don't care about the atty in the kit. Prefer just the Solo but I might have to get the kit.

I recommend Florida…we'll kick all the non-vapers out. ;)

Good luck. :)

Always been tempted to move to Florida, but we are 5 or so hours from Daytona and Panama City Beach, so we just pack up and go for a week when the urge hits. It's nice to be able to watch Hurricanes on TV instead of moving inward to a hotel. :)

Got my 1L of nic from HL today, and 1L from NN yesterday.
Ive never bought nor had this much nic before, lol (I usually just buy 250ml at a time or every few years).
For me, this is a 16year supply (32year, if I succeed to cut my nic-strength in half).
Recently arrived is also 4L of VG and 2L PG... should last for a few years.

Only thing I was hesitant on, in buying all that nic, is will it really last that long in the freezer without going bad?

Also, is it really necessary to re-bottle them into glass?
Do the amber plastic bottles NN uses, or the brown bottles HL uses, really leach over time?
I could be wrong, but, I don't think nic nor PG is that chemically caustic nor acidic to affect plastic..?

I've always just left them in their original amber plastic bottles (although, I only got 250ml sizes in the past, which gets used relatively quickly)

I have no problem re-bottling them to glass (super easy job)... but also, really hesitant to do so, because it'll introduce air/oxygen into the bottles/nic.

I've noticed my NN bottle has a slight vacuum (the bottle's sides sucked-in/concaved very slightly, the day after I put it in the freezer), which is good in terms of less oxygen... but I really don't wanna pop that cap/vacuum, esp just to re-bottle.

Glass is your best bet and Boston Rounds hold up well at 0 farenheit. My liters in glass bottles are clear after a couple of years in the freezer.

I wish these companies wouldn't be so secretive about how they plan to ship once the ban takes effect. Lay it out in black and white.
:spammers:

Why should they disclose to the government and to their competitors how they are going to do it?

I like working with 4oz bottles (125ml)
4 bottles fit in a small USPS flat rate box, which makes it easy to stack (vertically)in a chest freezer.

I like the 4oz bottles too, excellent working size for my needs. I use shallow, soft plastic containers that nest for stacking, each holds 22 bottles. Stacked three high there are 66 bottles per linear foot of shelf space in my full size upright freezer. In the unlikely event a bottle were to break the plastic container would contain 100% of the spillage, but in seven years I've yet to break a bottle as they're pretty tough. And as you indicated, filled to the neck the 4oz Boston round bottles I use actually hold 125ml of liquid nic. When needed I simply pull a bottle and put it in my fridge using from it as needed. When depleted I pull another from the freezer to take its place. Easy peasy!

Sounds like a cool set-up, Will you post a pic?

Can't find my camera but I do have a pic from back in 2015 that shows the plastic containers I use. I only had around 6 liters of nic back then but you get the idea. At that time they were stored two deep on the small top shelf of the freezer. I've tripled my stockpile of nic since then and started storing gallon containers of PG and VG in the freezer so had to move it all to the large bottom shelf due to size/weight. Some of the nic in this pic was purchased back in 2013 and 2014. Nic from Wizard Lab (2013) and My freedom Smokes (2014) are in the top bin while nic from Heartland Vapes (2015) is in the bottom. All future purchases were from Heartland, my preferred nic supplier.

Those emails are sent out to reassure their customers, but without facts they are not reassuring. How is my package going to be delivered? How much is it going to cost me? I'm not placing any orders from Sourcemore without those facts. I'd rather go with FT's fly under the radar plan. At least I know what I'm getting into there.

I'm just waiting for the drama to ensue around end of April or into May. They'll likely use the ATF to create an "exciting" story to make an example out of someone. Likely will involve Eightvape, Puff Bar and/or that "X" shipping company.

Just sit back and watch the :censored:show:pop::vapor:

Just some thoughts on these trying times.

For those of us who live in metro areas, I think some kind of vape stuff will be available at B&M. They have their own wholesalers and distributers and the products will get to customers. But, most vape shops I've been to tend to have a case of generic gear (usually Smok). This has little appeal to me, and has made going online the way to get interesting or exotic gear. I have not seen anything really interesting in a B&M vape shop for quite a while. The hobbyist aspect of the B&M shop seems to be completely gone.

I hope that these shops will begin to diversify a bit since their stocking strategy is what drove many of us online. Back in the day, vape shops stocked a lot of interesting stuff and I always bought locally. Did the lack of interesting gear drive the hobbyist to internet sales or vice versa? Probably both.

The FDA/PMTA process adds a major wrench in there since smaller companies making more exotic gear (svoemesto, limelight, BilletBox, etc) will have to go through the PMTA process AND develop a distribution network. At a minimum, this will take time. In the worst case, they will just get out of the US market.

I hope it's someone with enough funds and lawyers to stand up to the fight.

I did the same and bought several. My first one is still going strong. Another plus is they are very comfortable in the hand. In fact I have only heard of someone destroying one and that was by a serious fall onto a very hard tile floor.

I am sure they will tell you at checkout like all online businesses does. It could be two men and a truck for all I know. ;)

They can't charge you anything without telling you how much it is going to cost.

You're assuming there will be a fly under the radar plan. The government had that plan shutdown before remember? And on the other end you're trusting in the CCP. And they are not big supporters of vaping either and are also chummy with the WHO who also wants to see the end of vaping.
